Isidingo confirms The Final Cut winners will receive their long-awaited prize

It's been five months since Cebo Zikhali and Nasiphi Ntabeni won SABC3's acting reality show The Final Cut but there's no sign of them on Isidingo.

They won The Final Cut in mid-September with promises of roles on the soapie but there hasn't been a word about what's happening with their prize since.

I've been snooping for goss for months and been suspicious... have they also been cheated out of their prizes like the winner of SABC3's The Intern by David Tlale?

Fashion designer winner Kuena Moshoeshoe was left reeling after the show when her prizes didn't materialise. She had to take matters into her own hands by going public to reveal that she hadn't received her prizes from David - and it worked.

SABC3 has subsequently released a statement saying that the channel's going to ensure the delivery of her prizes but no-one's mentioned a word about The Final Cut so is the situation the same?

I've been in touch with Isidingo who've assured me that it isn't and that both Cebo and Nasiphi definitely have roles on the show. They haven't confirmed how large or small they are though.

Reading between the lines, it seems Isidingo was suddenly put in a position where they had to create roles for them when they had no roles for them.

You may remember The Final Cut was vague about what show the winners would appear on and when it turned out to be Isidingo, the soapie suddenly had to work them in.

The production also went through annual contract negotiations with the SABC at the end of last year and Cebo and Nasiphi were obviously part of these negotiations. Ultimately all this has resulted in the fact that they've had to wait so long to capitalise on their win. Bah! They should have been in the action as soon as possible after their win.

And now all we can do is wait to see what they've actually won.
