e is looking to hire a scheduler to create schedules for e's channels (e.tv, eExtra, eMovies Extra etc).
The position is for their Cape Town office.
Duties:
Reporting to the GM of On Air Operations, the job profile includes:
- Creating accurate daily transmission schedules across a multi-channel platform,
- Responsible for final schedule and the distribution of it to on air users both internal and external,
- Liaise with external departments for any programme, promo discrepancies, late start times and outstanding material,
- Liaise with the Commercial Time Sales Departments for all commercial scheduling, outstanding material and over sells,
- Implement promotion planning and meeting contractual agreements,
- Schedule channel branding,
- To consistently identify, prioritize and deal with incidents in a timely and professional manner by implementing the appropriate solution,
- View and schedule of interstitial programming, channel branding and promos,
- Create promo reports,
- Provide supervision of any last minute programme changes and live broadcasts,
- Responsible for final schedule and the distribution of it to on air users both internal and external,
- Oversee transmission schedules after hours,
- Communicate responsibilities to the Shift Scheduler,
- Daily reconciliation of transmission schedules,
- Perform Ad hoc duties for the Presentations Manager and Supervisors.
Requirements:
- Tertiary education,
- Marketing, Research, Public Relations or Communication Science Diploma an advantage,
- Knowledge of television broadcasting an advantage,
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments effectively,
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing,
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment,
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines,
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently,
- Computer literacy essential(Outlook, Excel, Word,),
- Good accuracy and attention to detail skills,
- Analytical/quick thinker,
- Multi-tasking skills,
- Positive attitude,
- Flexible,
- Willingness to work shifts and public holidays.
