Chaos erupts at the Duncan when Matlala and his men come calling. The sexual tension between Kgothalo and Rajesh threatens to overwhelm them. Wendy blows Lerato away when she aces her job interview.

Barker gets shocking news that his hotel has housed the violent racists who attacked Sechaba but Barker cannot let them go. Then chaos erupts as the Duncan is looted. The Duncan chaos causes Kgothalo to move in with Rajesh but it is uncomfortable for both. The underlying feelings cannot be avoided. Kgothalo wants to run.

Nina proves to a devastated Nikiwe that Gabriel is a thief who has been lying to her all along. Sechaba’s anger over his violent attack grows as he decides to fight fire with fire. Wendy struggles to find a bed to call home.

Matlala and Sechaba decide to up their game and block the road that leads to the Duncan and hit Barker where it hurts him the most, in the pocket.
Nikiwe drowns in her own tears at the realization that her father was right all along. Meanwhile, Herman and Matlala have a disagreement about illegal activities of miners at work.

Just when Nina thinks that the coast is clear, things turn for the worst, and she finds herself back to square one. Gabriel tries to amend the damage done by Nina, but Nikiwe is just not buying it. Sechaba’s ordeal gets worse when he learns that Basetsana is back in town.

Barker offers a hundred thousand compensation to each person who can prove they are originally from HD. But Sechaba and Basetsana reject it, which displeases a lot of people. Is it going to be money or land?
Gabriel has Nikiwe as co-owner of the new Rec but she rejects it. She takes out her anger on her father who calls her to check how she is handling the truth. Nina advises her to handle her man or stay away from him. But Nikiwe chooses to shut off friends.

The Matabanes are left reeling by the petrol bomb attack on their home, but it only strengthens their resolve over the land ownership issue. Barker escalates his plan to throw Nikiwe into the deep end. Wendy survives the fire but is left scarred and unemployed again.

Nikiwe runs off from an interview, only to have a panic attack in public. Barker announces that a pay out of R100K will be paid out to the people of HD for land compensation. Wendy refuses to ask for a job from Gabriel - raising much suspicion from Morongwa.

Whilst Barker has got Sedima and Gatanga rolling out the administration of land claim compensation, the Molois - Basetsana and Sechaba are moving the fight to legal sphere. But the choice of lawyer is a point of discussion. Nikiwe has weakened to Gabriel once more and he feels the wheels of love have taken off again. He surprises her with a recommitting ceremony.
