Some fist punchy news for Ring of Lies lovers... we knew that things
looked good for Round 2 and now Mzansi Magic has signed on the dotted line.
The channel has confirmed to TVSA that the series has been renewed for Season 2 and will be back later this year. The finer deets haven't been confirmed yet - there's no news on premiere date or time - but it's definitely happening.
The series proved to be firm fave amongst TVSA members when it aired on Mzansi Magic between May and July last year and consistently made it to Mzansi Magic's Top 10 list during its run, reaching an episode high of 555,251 viewers in its final month. It's also airing on Mzansi Wethu as we speak.
If you missed the first season... it centres round a bare knuckle boxing champ who leaves his disapproving parents in Limpopo to seek out the fights of his life in Joziburg after he gets scouted by a well known boxing champ.
Series stars include Mpho Sebeng, Bohang Moeko, Florence Masebe, Baby Cele, Dineo Nchabeleng, Slindile Nodangala, Tessa Twala and Masoja Msiza.
