Lerato sets Bongi a challenge at work. Lungile warns Lerato that he knows what she’s up to. Sifiso reads Rene’s signals wrong. Dumisani continues with the charade. Puleng accuses Niki of meddling in her relationship. Niki tells Puleng to tell Suffo the truth. Ntombizodwa makes a vow to Cuba.

Suffocate forces Puleng to do a paternity test. Lerato sabotages Bongi. Sifiso tries to see if he and Reneilwe can revive their relationship. Mapula has to face the reality that the family is out of food.

Suffocate distances himself from Puleng and the baby. Reneilwe and the band fire Sifiso. Bongi is under pressure to finish a song in studio. Dumisani runs away from home.

Lungile is becoming more and more important in Zinzi's life. Bongi is working hard to finish recording the song. Puleng tries to get Suffocate to talk about his feelings. Puleng is anxious as the scan shows the true date of the baby's conception. Sifiso bribes Reneilwe into giving him another chance.

Suffo spirals out of control. Bongi lies to keep Lungile and Zinzi apart. Reneilwe meets with Kwela and finds her loyalty tested. Kop feels that Dumisani should stay with them at the yard. David is under pressure to deliver on the cold-storage deal.

Zinzi makes Lungile feel increasingly uncomfortable. Suffo hits on Toolkit’s girlfriend. Cuba tells Puleng to move on. Kop must protect Dumi from Spokes. David's deal is in jeopardy.

As pressure mounts, David turns the screws on Niki. Suffo ruins his relationship with Toolkit. After a fight, Bongi and Zinzi face a miserable Christmas.
Kop invites all three of the shack children to spend the night and Christmas with them. Sabelo is out in the cold by his own doing.

It’s Christmas - a jolly one for the Khuses, but not for Sabelo. There’s a chance of a reconciliation between Suffo and Niki. David tries to play the generous host with Flavia and Roberto. Zinzi and Lungile are worried about Bongi.

Suffo devastates Niki. Sabelo lures the kids home with a promise he might not be able to fulfil. Rene walks out on the band. Lerato wants Bongani to help push Bongi to drink more. David finds a way to get Niki out of the way.

Bash convinces Niki to drop Suffo. Toolkit lobbies Niki for a job, while David plots against her. Sabelo scrambles for money. Reneilwe accepts a record deal. Zinzi is insecure after her rejection by Lungile.

Zinzi spins out of control and Bongi ignores Lerato's advice and speaks to Lungile. Kwela makes Rene uncomfortable. Suffo publicly humiliates Puleng. Toolkit makes a favourable impression on Niki. David spins a line to Roberto and Flavia about how he financed the refrigeration plant.

The Born Frees replace Rene. Niki aligns herself with David, for a cut of his deal. Bongi adopts a radical course of action to bring Zinzi into line. Fats believes that Social Services should be called in to help the orphan kids.

Sabelo comes through for Dumi. David suspects Flavia of double-crossing him. Lerato tricks Bongi into drinking and shaming herself at a Red party. Kop and Sis Bee agree that the offer from the Ngcobos is good.
