Olga descends onto Soweto with a sjambok to force Bassie home, but ends up behind bars, until Ngema dangles some financial gain for her to drop the whole act.
Mavis battles to get Bassie away from Ngema, especially now that Olga has made matters worse. But when Olga is surprisingly released from prison, she takes drastic measures to free Bassie from her adult lover.
JB ends up setting up his long time friend Azania in exchange for his life.
Bassie has been adamant that she's going to stay with Ngema against her family's will but when a romantic night goes wrong, she ends up beaten and bruised on Mavis's door step.
