M-Net Movies has launched an acting competition called The Greatest Movie Ever Made.

The prize: a trip to Hollywood for the winner and a role in an M-Net Movies movie, starring the Top 12 actors discovered through the competition.

Please note: The competition is only open to DStv Premium subscribers - unfortunately or fortunately, depending on which bouquet you're on.

What to do to enter

You need to re-enact a scene from any movie currently airing on any of the M-Net Movies channels: M-Net Movies Premiere, M-Net Movies Smile, M-Net Movies Action, M-Net Movies Showcase, M-Net Movies Action, M-Net Movies All Stars and M-Net Movies Zone.

You need to film it and upload the video onto Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #MMGreatest. Once you've done this, you have to go to www.mnet.tv to fill out an entry form to validate your entry. This needs to happen within the first week of posting your video on social media.

Closing date for entries: Saturday, 20 August 2016 at 23h59

What happens next?

A panel of experts will pick the Top 24 actors from these videos will go up for a public vote. Viewers will be able to vote for their favourites from Tuesday 23 August and the 12 actors with the most votes act in a production, produced by Bomb Productions (creators of Isibaya and Jacob’s Cross.)

The script will be written by Tebogo Malope and the Top 12 will be star opposite actor Thapelo Mokoena, comedian Thomas Gumede, the face of M-Net Movies Lalla Hirayama and TV presenter Maps Maponyane.

The shoot for this will happen in the week of 26 September.

The Hollywood prize

The overall winner will win a seven day trip to Hollywood with a partner, which will be filmed by the M-Net Movies team.

Who can enter?

DStv Premium subscribers who are South African citizens and 18-years or older.

You'll find the terms and conditions on the M-Net website.
