A note to let you know that ShowMax is available on DStv's Explora from today (13 June).
It's exactly the same set-up as when you access ShowMax online, except you'll be able to do it through your Explora instead of your PC.
The fee is the same no matter how you access the service: it costs R99 a month for access to all titles in the library and the fee doesn't include the internet data costs.
If your Explora isn't internet connected yet, here's how to set it up:
- You can connect it either by Ethernet cable or by using the MultiChoice WiFi Connector. For more info, go to

- The updated software to accommodate ShowMax will be rolled out to all active DStv Exploras over the next week.
- You’ll need to sign up to ShowMax on
ShowMax.com. You can opt for a free trial to see if you like it first.
- Payment can be done through PayPal, credit card payment or through your DStv account.
