Exclusive! Bonang, Pearl and Lunga to host SAMA red carpet, live on TV

TVSA can exclusively reveal that the official red carpet hosts for Saturday's 22nd SAMAs are: Bonang Matheba, Pearl Modiadie and Lunga Shabalala.

We can also reveal that the organisers have changed their minds about the broadcast of the red carpet on TV. As we recently spilt, the official red carpet coverage was only going be streamed online via the SAMA app but this has changed and the carpet will now air on TV too.

This means that the evening's broadcast will start a half an hour earlier than previously scheduled. The live coverage of the carpet will air from 19h30 on SABC1 (on 4 June) and will build-up to the ceremony which starts at 20h00.

E! Entertainment will also be on the carpet with hosts Minnie Dlamini and Katlego Maboe but their coverage will only air on the Tuesday after the awards (7 June) at 20h00 in a show called Beyond the Red Carpet.

And the hosts of the actual ceremony are... Somizi and Thando Thabethe.

Khanyi Mbau and Phat Joe will also be headlining but from the Green Room where they'll be doing backstage interviews with the winners.
