7de Laan fans will get a new perspective on Altus soon when Hein Schmitt steps out from behind the character to host on Pasella.
Hein, who was on 7de Laan for 11 years, left the soapie at the end of last year to stretch his legs and to pursue other interests. He was invited to audition for Pasella after he left which must have been an ideal offer for him after being on a studio based show for so many years.
His new life involves travelling South Africa and popping wheelies, which he's going to do in his first Pasella stint. He'll be popping them with a
scrawny Magaliesberg stunt biker who goes by the name of Skinny van Schalkwyk. He's also going to reunite with fellow former 7de Laan star Zetske van Pletzen for an interview.
Word from Heino is that he plans to use the show as a challenge and opportunity to grow. He makes his first appearance on Friday, 11 March.
