A cool update for all of you who've been asking about subtitles on TV... DStv's added subtitles to the Box Office service which means that all the available movies now have them. You can access them in the usual way by choosing the subtitling option.
TVSA spent the day at MultiChoice City today, catching up on news about upcoming shows etc. and we discovered an interesting tidbit about their subtitling. They have two permanent subtitlers who spend their day subtitling movies, shows etc - it's literally a manual process.
Not all of it - there are shows and movies that come with them as part of the package when MultiChoice buys them but lots of them don't. Enough to keep two people busy all week.
