The premiere of The Great South African Bake Off wasn't great unfortunately. In fact, it completely failed to rise to the occasion.
The series was supposed to debut on BBC Lifestyle on Tuesday (6 October) at 20h00 but turned out to be a total no-show with no sign of it. BBC Lifestyle Tweeted and Facebooked that there was a technical issue but there was no onscreen message to viewers, which meant that anyone who was watching TV instead of their phone wouldn't have known what was going on.
We've investigated to find out what's happening next and the first episode will now be shown on Thursday 8 October, at 20h00. Episode 2 will air in its normal timeslot from Tuesday 13 October at 20h00.
