Pint-sized poet and SA's Got Talent winner Botlhale Boikanyo has landed herself an acting role on Scandal!, as the scandalous lurve child of Boitshoko and Mlungisi.
She makes her debut later this month - on Wednesday, 30 September - as Omphile, Boitshoko's daughter -
and Mlu's daughter, who he's never known about.
Boitshoko (played by Nkoto Malebye) arrived on the scene last week and has been pursuing Mlu (Patrick Mafokeng), who had an affair with her years ago while he was still married to Zinzile. She's been snooping around his life, prying for his cellphone number, visiting his home etc.
All because she's been hiding a secret for 13 years: Omphile.
Who's described as warm and likeable. She's also mature for her age because of the tough times she's been through growing up. This has also resulted in her turning out self-sufficient - she doesn't expect things from people and has a fire in her belly that motivates her to make things happen for herself.
So she's similar to Botlhale, who'll be speaking her lines as conversation on the show i.e. she won't be speaking in poetry.
