Coke Studio launches in Mzansi

After an international success, Coke Studio has joined hands with e.tv to bring South Africa this “Jam Sandwich”- type show. Only difference is that the show goes further to let viewers in on the art of song-writing, mixing/mastering a song and performing - all these done from their own Coke recording studio.

So for avid local music lovers, this will be a perfect 16-week treat featuring some of the best South African musicians and producers.

Some of the artists to lookout for include Donald, Mi Casa, Oliver Mtukudzi from Zimbabwe, Moneoa, Cassper Nyovest and Salma from Tanzania. The show held a launch event recently and it was great - a lot of musicians featured on the show weren’t at the launch though but Mi Casa performed and kept the night warm...

Coke Studio premieres tonight at 20:30 on e.tv featuring Mi Casa and Cassper Nyovest.
