TVSA is proud to introduce the first in a new series of monthly lists comprising the Top 10 Most Popular Shows and Actors for the last month, beginning with May 2015.

Skeem Saam actor Cornet Mamabolo leads the list of Most Popular Actors, Muvhango tops the list of Most Popular Shows and Big Brother Mzansi was the Most Popular Show (non-soapie).

The Top 10 lists are compiled from the shows and actors with the highest number of collective page views across the site for the preceding month. These amounted to 1,561,349 unique page views in the month of May.

These lists do not reflect the TAMS Ratings for these shows, nor do they reflect the rating/ranking of the shows or actors. For explanations of those, please go here:

About the TVSA Most Popular

Top 10 Most Popular Shows and Actors is a monthly report published by TVSA, which details the most popular shows and actors on the site for the preceding month.

The Top 10s are compiled from the shows and actors with the highest number of collective page views across the site.

For shows, this includes an aggregation of Show Pages (and all their sub-pages), articles and blogs about them, teasers and message board conversations.

For actors, this includes an aggregation of Actor Profiles (and all their sub-pages), articles and blogs about them, interviews and message board conversations.

Soapies are traditionally the most popular shows, on television and on TVSA. Soapies therefore always dominate the Top 10 Shows list, which is why we added a second Top 10 Shows list, with soapies excluded.
