The 2015 BET Awards are coming up at the end of June and air on DStv two days after the ceremony i.e. with their usual late broadcast! They've always aired days after they happen and there's never any explanation as to why.

The ceremony takes place in the US on Sunday, 28 June and only airs here on Tuesday, 30 June at 20h10 - on BET and BET2.

The South African contingent representing this year are AKA and The Soil who've received nominations in the Best International Act: Africa category. As you'll see, their competition includes Wizkid, Fally Ipupa and Stonebwoy.

The award categories remain the same as last year, with the addition of one - a new goodness award's been added called the Global Good Award and the winner's already been decided. It's going to Tanzanian schmodel Millen Magese for her humanitarian work in Africa.
