I'm very pleased to see that radio DJs are noticeably missing from the line-up of judges on The Sing-Off SA. (Hope you're taking notes Idols!)
The judges are: HHP, Zolani Mahola and Zakes Bantwini.
Good choices that I'm happy with. The panel should definitely have included an a cappella pro. though - someone who performs in an a cappella group - Katlego Maboe could have done it if he wasn't Mr SABC3. Someone else then ... anyone from The Soil would have been cool - ideal!
Still, I'm accepting things as they because the show's trusted in the know-how of musos instead of DJs.
PS: The Top 10 groups were chosen by singer/musicians Bradley Williams and Relebogile Mabotja, who spoke about the groups during Sunday's premiere - they won't be on the judging panel. The judges arrive for the performance shows.
