Nollywood actress Kehinde Bankole who plays Kiki Obi, the African version of Gabi Solis.

So Desperate Housewives Africa arrives soon. It premieres on EbonyLife TV next week - on Thursday, 30 April at 22h00 (CAT).

Desperate Housewives Africa is an adaptation of the multiple award winning ABC drama hit series with African flavor. The series is set to launch on Thursday 30th April, 2015 at 21:00 WAT, exclusive to EbonyLife TV DStv Ch. 165!

As you can see it's exactly the same as the original Desperate Housewives, right down to the music - which I'm not mad about because I don't like remakes. I've tried a few but I've never stuck with them because I don't see the point in watching a story I already know.

I always assume the point of remakes is that they aren't for people who've already seen a show but for those who haven't. Do you feel the same? If you watched the original will you watch again?
