Lerato's new Muvhango character highly influenced by the media

Lerato Kganyago as Masebotsane

So we know that Lerato Kganyago's new character on Muvhango has the makings of a beauty queen but what else is striking about her? How has life moulded her? What are Mmasebotsana's passions?

Turns out two of them are Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé.

We managed to get our TVSA clutches on Mmasebotsana's character bible - the full character description used by the show and Lerato to breathe life into the character. It defines what she Is.

It even provides her full name: Mmasebotsana Primrose Mojalefa.

She's 23/24, single - and looking. She's Mangwashe's cousin and Lerumo's niece.

She worships the media, people are very attrected to her and she's lonely.

This is her story:

When she was born, Mmasebotsana was the light of her parents' lives and their only hope after they lost their first born son to a terrible car accident. When she found this out, it was from that day that Mmasebotsana felt the need to over compensate to make up for her parent's void.

She is a very beautiful girl with an almost pompous presence (in the eyes of the beholder) while deep down her inner persona, lies a timid girl whose life revolves around making everyone around her happy. She is just as gullible as she is independent and she's willing to do just about anything to get what she wants.

She is an intelligent young woman who always strives to achieve the best in all she does. Generally, she is overly confident, well-spoken and fierce. She has a head-spinning effect on everyone (male and female) and a strong personality.

Her relationship with her parents is almost flawed because she was not raised by them (she was taken from one boarding school to another and then stayed in Res throughout her varsity life).

Because of that void, she always feels the need to impress other people and be loved by them. She's the sexiest girl in town (based on the media's definition of what a gorgeous woman is). She is weaved up with nails done and hectic "TV" make-up on her face. She is the epitome of "human-Barbie" (plastic).

Her role models socially are Nicki Minaj and Beyonce and in the corporate world, she looks up to Thandaza Mokoena.

She can never live a day without her weave, lashes, nails and make up. She aspires to one day get a major contract in her Woman's Leadership business and branch it off internationally.

In trying to live up to societal expectations, Mmasebo is often oblivious to reality and is sometimes seen as vain as a result. Mmasebotsana, by its very definition means "she who best epitomizes beauty" (of course she loves flaunting this).

Her love life? She barely has one because her expectations are Kim-Kardashian High. She is only attracted to white men and lives her American dream in her mind. She is blatantly and highly influenced by media.

She arrives on the scene on Thursday, 11 June.
