Press Release

Noluthando Meje returns to SABC1 to play a perfect host to The Sing Off SA

The first leg of The Sing-Off SA auditions will kick off at the Bassline this Saturday 14th March 2015 with Noluthando “Nolly” Meje providing links, conducting interviews with groups of hopefuls attending the auditioning and doing general field reporting at the event.

The popular television presenter, actress and singer, has been confirmed as the host of The Sing-Off SA. SABC1’s very first talent show dedicated to the art of a cappella will start airing on the channel in the first week of May 2015.

A familiar face to millions of SABC1 viewers, Noluthando, has a long-running association with the channel having played various roles in the past including co-presenting on Jam Alley Crew vs Crew and Turn It Out. She also played acting roles on Home Affairs and Interrogation Room.

"I'm really looking forward to the amazing talent that we are going to discover," says the excited singer, actress and presenter.  “I love singing and anyone who knows me will tell you that harmonizing is my thing. I can't wait to hear the many voices coming together in perfect harmony," she concludes.

The a capella talent show offers the winning group a rare opportunity to walk away with a R250 000 cash prize and a Sony recording contract.

But walking away with R250k is not a rare opportunity they claim it is. Other shows offer more money than this. But I can't wait to watch the show hey
