Press Release

Nonhle Thema says goodbye to Club 808

Club 808's Nonhle Thema will be making her final appearance as host of the show on the 27th of February 2015 at 8PM on e.tv. Nonhle's glamourous style and exciting personality has been a feature of the show since she made her first appearance.

"It’s been a great experience working on Club 808. I have enjoyed working with Mo Flava, the Red Pepper crew and e.tv. I received a great welcome from e.tv and we have formed a very strong relationship which goes beyond Club 808. I have learnt a lot, however, it is time to focus on my other projects and enjoy watching the show evolve. "

I am currently focusing on developing my acting career and honing my skills in other serious aspects of television production. The Club 808 viewers have been amazing and I’d like to thank them for their support. My relationship with e.tv remains solid and I am definitely looking forward to working with them on other projects in the future." says Nonhle Thema.

"We are eternally grateful for what Nonhle brought to our screens on Club 808. She is an amazing personality and shone bright every Friday night on the show. We would like to thank her for bringing her expertise to e.tv"  says Monde Twala, MD of e.tv Channels Division

Nonhle Thema's final episode as host of Club 808 will broadcast on Friday, the 27th of February 2015 at 8PM on e.tv. This episode will also be Mo Flava's final appearance on the show as well so tune in to bid farewell and say thanks to Club 808's presenters. This will also be the final episode that is broadcast at 8PM before the show moves to its new 6PM timeslot from March 2015.

The replacement hosts will be announced in due course and will make their first appearance on Friday, the 6th of March, at 6PM on e.tv.

eTV having a serious reshuffle. Maybe 808 will have better ratings like it did with the 7:30 slot. Skeem Saam was killing RC i see they moved it too
