Episode 1
Ayanda announces his plan to discontinue his degree to his father's disappointment. Melusi learns that Zandile's overbearing nature could affect their younger son Nkosinathi similarly.
Mxolisi shocks his family when he returns home and pronounces his determination to join the family business. He has resigned from work for the pursuit of his dream.
Sindi endures the pain of finding out that Ntokozo and her are cursed because of a criminal act conducted by Ntokozo years ago and if Ntokozo does not confess (and fix the problem), the ancestors will not protect them over the dark clouds which befell them.
Nkosinathi and Amandla have a conversation which Nkosinathi's parents cannot fathom. They look a tad cosy.

Episode 2
Zandile and Melusi have a discussion from which an epiphany to start a choir at the church is born. The church youth gathers and is thrilled with the announcement of their opportunity to grow.
Muzi finally reaches a well pondered verdict and discusses his ultimatum with Mxolisi. He offers R500k for him to start a business of his choice on condition that it's not in Durban, not in the province.
Sindi is distraught to learn of the death of her mother who passes on with a secret which Sindi now has to go on a quest to discover to break her curse. Nkosinathi and Amandla's friendship starts to heat up.

Episode 3
Zandile is shocked to learn her son's plan to drop out of his second university course to be a DJ. Her and Ayanda finally have a showdown at the dinner table. Mxolisi is shocked to notice that the white friend of his whose car was stolen is now being driven by Mastermind.
The cops are after Mastermind so he needs to lie low. Sindi gets advice from Mangena to live her life and move on from the history that belongs to what her mother did. She must start planning her own family's future now. She gets a symbolic warning which she cannot ignore.
Smangele has a conversation with Amandla about her relationship with Nkosinathi. Amandla should wait for the guy to come if he really likes her, not the other way around.

Episode 4
Melusi advises Smangele to approach Ayanda about being a church conductor. He knows a lot about music. Muzi ensures that Mastermind is released from jail. His connection with Mabuza works in their favor but now, he needs to get rid of Mxolisi fast before he learns what business his father does (with Mastermind).
Mangena warns Sindisiwe not to take the burning curtain light. She should, in fact, see another traditional seer to decipher the message. Amandla reassures Smangele that she has taken her advise and decided to be a lady. She will wait for Nkosinathi's pursuit of her if he's really interested.

Episode 5
Melusi and Zandile are happy to hear that Ayanda has taken the reigns in the church choir. Lindiwe is pleased to hear that Muzi has made a plan to ensure that Mxolisi will be leaving for Johannesburg in a few days. Her only worry now is Nosipho.
Amandla speaks to her girlfriends about how to know that a guy likes her and is told to not show any interest in him, to tone down and await his pursuit.

Episode 6
Ayanda has humiliated his parents and he apologizes to them about this as he announces his decision to take his own path in life. Mxolisi learns that his father is a criminal mastermind and is livid. His parents are worried that he might tell Nosipho. Amandla is stunned at Nkosinathi's confrontation about her being cold to her. He leaves her hanging and bewildered.

Episode 7
Mxo has returned home and is appalled with his discovery of Muzi's criminal ways and Lindiwe's knowledge of this. He tries to persuade them to go the legitimate route with what they're doing.
Ayanda announces his epiphany to move out of home and this leaves Zandile disheartened and Melusi rather indifferent. Nkule offers him a family backroom at Sis Diana's home.
Sindi sees the traditional healer and she learns that the only solution to breaking her curse is fixing the mistakes her mother made in the past.

Episode 8
Mabuza covers up the tracks to Dlomo, hiding why the Xulu case was dropped. As Mxolisi continues to cover up the lies, Lindiwe worries that he may follow in his father's footsteps. Melusi finally reveals his sadness, with Ayanda gone.
Zandile is upset to learn that Nkule assisted Ayanda in getting away from his home to stay at her house. Sindisiwe is anxious about her trip to Durban in search of the hospital where her mother swoped the babies at birth. Mangena wishes her all the best.
Amandla divulges his feelings to Nkosinathi. He is breath-taken to learn that she likes him and later has a conversation with his father about how he will know if he likes a girl.

Episode 9
Muzi is worried that Dlomo can smell a dead rat at the panel beaters and he decides it would be best if he lies on the down low for some time. He is conflicted as he receives a text message with a new car order.
Zandile apologizes to Nkule for overreacting about her helping Ayanda out. Ayanda's moving out from home just came as a shock to the family. Melusi pays Ayanda a visit at the Shisa Nyama and they have a humbling heart to heart.
Sindisiwe is in search of temporary accommodation during her search of all the information she needs at the hospital. Smangele offers her assistance and they are relieved when Mastermind offers to sleep at his girlfriend’s place for some time so that there is enough space to accommodate Sindi in their tiny abode.
Amandla is worried that maybe she shouldn’t have told Nkosinathi about her romantic feelings for him as this might just mess up their friendship, if it hasn’t already.
Uzalo is on SABC1 Mondays to Wednesdays at 20h30.
