Isibaya's Qondi
It was Friday the 13th when the Chief entered my room. He dragged me to the courthouse in the yard while I was half asleep. I didn’t understand what had gotten into him because he was uncharacteristically strange.
He wouldn’t listen to what I had to say, just that he had plans for us and he wasn’t goanna take no for an answer. To not make things worse, I stopped asking questions and just went along with him. We got to the courthouse, he cuffed me and there was a minister waiting for us. I was instructed to go to the fitting room and I had to put on a dress in the fitting room.
It was a black lacy dress with a red veil. I put it on and came out, when I noticed he had a black suit on. I asked him, what was going on and he eventually told me, we are getting married. I started running to the door, when he told me he had locked it and that nobody would help me in the yard because everyone worked for him.
He told me, he brought me in the court house because, he wanted his dead father to witness the wedding, because all weddings need a witness. He took out his gun and the priest began…
