Is it a new season of SA's Got Talent? No-no, it's 7de Laan with the launch of a new talent competition.

The soapie's launched a countrywide search to find 12 acts to feature on the show. The acts will form part of a talent show story arc on the soapie and a winner will be chosen - who'll win in real life.

The show's looking for any acts of any age. Magicians, singers, artists, acrobats - any talent-show-talent.

How to enter:

The first step of the process involves submitting a video of your act. The show will be visiting six regions so there are different video submission dates and deadlines for each region (see them below).

To enter your act and video, you need to fill in this online form: 7de Laan Talent entry form. It will give you the option of including your video.

Regional entry dates:

This is when acts from different regions can enter:

Limpopo / Mpumalanga 20 Jan 2015 at 08:00 until 27 Jan 2015 at 07:59
Free State / Kwazulu Natal 27 Jan 2015 at 08:00 until 3 Feb 2015 at 07:59
Northern Cape / North West 3 Feb 2015 at 08:00 until 10 Feb 2015 at 07:59
Gauteng 10 Feb 2015 at 08:00 until 17 Feb 2015 at 07:59
Western Cape 17 Feb 2015 at 08:00 until 24 Feb 2015 at 07:59
Eastern Cape 24 Feb 2015 at 08:00 until 3 March 2015 at 07:59

Competition must-knows:

- If your act consists of a group, the group can't have more than five members in it.
- If you're entering as a group you only need to include the names of two groups members on your entry form.
- The prize for the winning group hasn't been confirmed yet. We'll update once it is.
- The competition will be judged by celebrities and talent agencies.
- Maximum file size of videos is 7MB
- For the fine print see the Terms and Conditions here.

What happens next?

Once the video entry process is complete, the judges will choose the acts that they'd like to see in each city. Invited acts will perform live for the judges and the 12 finalists will be chosen.
