M-Net Edge to premiere Robert Rodriguez series From Dusk Till Dawn

Cool news! And not glibly-so but truly-so because Robert Rodriquez knows exactly how to be cool.

M-Net Edge has the rights to his series version of From Dusk Till Dawn and it's a must-see if you answer Yes to any of these questions:

Do you lurve Robert Rodriguez?
Did you see the movie?
Did you not see the movie?

The show follows the same plot as the movie but the excellent thing about it is that it elaborates on things so you get to see the back and side stories of the main characters. There are loads of scenes that weren't in the movie that extend and elaborate on what we didn't see.

Zane Holtz and D.J Cotrona play the Gecko brothers, played by
Quentin Tarantino and George Clooney in the movie.

It's the first series that Rodriguez made for his TV network El Rey - you may remember I mentioned it after spotting Cokey Falkow in Matador. The channel caters specifically to Latino audiences - and also Rodriguez fans because it's very much in his style. The name's actually a tribute to From Dusk Till Dawn because the action happens in the town of El Rey.

And D.J. Cotrona's a much hotter Seth Gecko than George Clooney in the movie. I've never seen him in anything before and I'm totally impressed. Watch and you'll see what I mean.

Here's the trailer:

It premieres on Edge on onday, 2 February at 21h00.
