One must go.

Press Release

Twice as much fun

Things get tense in Idols 10 this Sunday as the Top 6 will become the Top 5, and each contestant will perform two songs for the judges’ scrutiny and for their fans’ votes.

Nelspruit’s Bongi Silinda (24) is singing Adele’s “Set Fire To The Rain” in the first round and then she gets funky in the second round with Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy”.

Durban’s Kyle Deutschmann (27) chose “Wonderwall” by Oasis for his first song and Maroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved” for the second round.

Lize Mynhardt (21) from Stellenbosch keeps it old school in the first round with the Simon & Garfunkel classic “Bridge Over Troubled Waters”, and her second song is “Somebody That I Used To Know” by Gotye, featuring Kimbra.

London Louw (24) from Cape Town plans to shake things up with his first round song, Cindy Lauper’s “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”, and for the second round he’s chosen No Doubt’s “It’s My Life”.

eMalahleni’s Musa Mashiane (27) is rehearsing the Eric Clapton ballad “Tears In Heaven” for his first round performance and his second choice is “Just The Way Your Are” by Bruno Mars.

And Pietermaritzburg worship leader Vincent Bones (29) will be performing Santana’s “Smooth” first and “Apologise” by One Republic featuring Timberland for his second round.

Tickets for the show are on sale now from Computicket and the Top 6 Spectacular goes out live on M-Net and Mzanzi Magic on Sunday Sunday, 26 October at 17:00, with a special guest performance by the South African band Gangs of Ballet.

Cant believe its top 5 already and zero hype! I have not connected to this year's idols shame I even prefer watching the wooden micers. The song choices are also always a turn off nje...............................
