The verdict's expected to take about an hour to deliver - so says channel 199.

Out of all the interviews the news channels have done with people, I haven't heard one person say that community service would be the right sentencing.

Judge Masipa: "Finding an appropriate sentence is a challenge as sentencing is not a perfect exercise."

Judge Masipa: "I was not impressed at all by Mrs Vergeer's evidence. I found her evidence defamatory and unhelpful. On the other hand Mr Modise impressed me."

Good news: Judge Masipa says she doesn't want people to think that the law is different for the rich and the poor. So pleased she said that!

Judge Masipa: "We ought to be able to differentiate between what's in the public interest and what society wants. What may appear to be justice to the uninformed general public may not be justice."

Accordingly to experts Oscar will or can only spent 8 months in prison if he behaves well...is that justice??? I don't think so...but I'm glad that he is going to prison after all. They tried to use his disability as an excuse for not going to jail. The orange jump suit will suit him just fine
