Leandie du Randt may have
missed out on winning Strictly Come Dancing but it doesn't mean that her feet aren't made for TV.
Leandie's presenting on SABC3's new lifestyle show NAweek and debuts as a new character on Binnelanders tonight (Thursday, 9 October).
She plays Ivanka ‘Van’ Gouws - who Ilse's very uncertain of. When Ivanka arrives on the scene Ilse isn't sure that she's definitely part of the family and when she proves she is, Ilse isn't sure that she'll fit in because Ivanka's trailer-trashy.
Whether she'll stay or leave remains to be seen. The extent of Leandie's role hasn't been confirmed yet but a Binnelanders insider tells TVSA that she's been stunning in the role and that the chances are
really good she'll be signed as a fulltime cast member next year when the soapie's new contracts are negotiated.
Her arrival this week coincides with the show's change of time from 18h30 to 19h30, which happened this past Monday. Once Leandie's settled in, there's another development on the way: Gys de Villiers. He'll be returning to his role as Dr. Zieg Combrink on Wednesday, 22 October.
