First look!
The launch of the new M-Net Edge channel is around the corner and the good news is that every show in the line-up is excellent.
The channel launches on Channel 102 on Monday, 20 October at 19h00 and starts with a bang. The first evening's line-up includes the latest seasons of Sleepy Hollow, Syfy's Defiance and the much anticipated fourth season of American Horror Story Freak Show.
On Tuesday (21st) the broadcast starts an hour earlier - at 18h00 - the channel's regular starting time. The channel runs for 11 hours a day: from 18h00 to 05h00.
As you'll see when you browse the schedule below ... each evening starts with a double bill of a show: the previous week's episode airs at 18h00 and the new episode airs at 19h00. This doesn't happen in the channel's first week on air because there isn't a previous episode so this set-up begins in earnest from the second week.
Other notable times to look out for: a run of the Soprano's from Season 1 every weeknight at 22h00 and Saturday night binge watching marathons.

The line-up includes Masters of Sex (an erotically steamy must-see based on a true story) and HBO's critically acclaimed comedy Silicon Valley - about six guys who found a start-up in Silicon Valley.
There's also the award winning Netflix comedy Orange is the New Black - also based on a true story, also brilliant.
The only two complaints we have involve CSI and Criminal Minds. They're both on the channel but shouldn't be because they don't suit it at
all - they aren't edgy in the same way the other series are. Homeland would be much more suited but! -
it isn't on the channel - it starts on M-Net this coming Tuesday (7 October) instead. The set-up undermines the Edge theme.

Complicating the case further, the team goes head to head with Linda Rothman (guest star JERI RYAN -- Body of Proof, Leverage, Boston Public, Star Trek: Voyager) a tough, powerful attorney who doesn't let morals stand in her way of winning a case. Recurring guest star JON TENNEY (The Closer) appears as Fritz Howard.
