The Killing series finale: hott, hott, hott

What a show! What an ending!

The hottest couple on TV are officially together and it thrills me like you can't believe.

The Killing ended on M-Net Series Showcase on Wednesday night (10 September) after a stingy six episode final season and it was everything I could have imagined it to be - and so much more.

I didn't for a moment think that things would end with Holder and Linden together ... I was convinced they'd speak past each other or that Linden wouldn't want a relationship - a breakthrough seemed impossible. The surprise of them getting together made the moment even hotter, specifically when Linden said:

"I never had a real house to grow up in, you know, a home. I never belonged anywhere and all my life I was looking for that thing, you know, thinking that it was out there somewhere - all I had to do was find it but I think, maybe, that home was us - was you, me together in that stupid car, driving around smoking cigarettes, I think that was everything."

That finished me off. I didn't care about their cases, the crimes, the murderers, whatever - even though they were excellent this season - all that matters is that they're together.

It's bizarre because things between them have been so unbelievably hott since Holder tried to kiss Linden all those episodes ago - yet it's never been acknowledged. It's happened under the surface - never knowing. The ending was as if they eventually kissed and yet they didn't - more perfect than if we'd seen them kiss.

As a result I'm okay with saying goodbye to one of my all-time fave shows. I've been very disappointed and iffy about the series ending but considering how it's ended, I'm going to accept it and be happy.

Farewell The Killing.
