Press Release

COMING UP ON “THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON”…

Jimmy Fallon fever is hitting South Africa as the hilarious talk show host brings “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” to your TV screens on weekday nights (MTV, DStv Compact, Extra & Premium, Channel 130).

From 8-23 September, MTV is airing the best episodes of the show from Season 1 of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” at 18:00 CAT Mondays to Fridays, featuring Fallon’s trademark chat, humour, superstar guests, sketches, games, audience participation and more.

From 24 September, this will switch to the Season 2 premiere (Wednesday 24 September) with each episode airing just 36 hours after the live US premiere. A bumper, omnibus edition will run from 13:35-17:40 CAT every Sunday.

A-listers can’t help flocking to the Tonight Show studio in New York, and there’s nothing that Jimmy Fallon is afraid to ask his guests to do – including a cheesy reworking of classic Toto hit “Africa” with Justin Timberlake. Celebrity guest and musical performers to look out for in the coming days and weeks include:

10 September - Justin Timberlake
11 September -  Denzel Washington
12 September - Arnold Schwarzenegger
15 September -  Jamie Foxx & Alicia Keys
16 September - Tom Cruise, Kendall & Kylie Jenner
17 September - Jennifer Lopez & Keenan Ivory Wayans
18 September - Kevin Hart & Jimmy Buffet
19 September - Halle Berry & Chris Colfer
22 September - Vin Diesel & Aubrey Plaza
23 September - Megan Fox & Nick Cannon
