The 2014 Soccer World Cup's coming up in Brazil next week Thursday (12 June) which means that SABC1's taking a rain check when it comes to usual programming.

The channel is the official broadcaster of the Cup and will be airing 56 of the matches live. SABC3 will air eight of them.

SABC1 kicks things off with a review/preview on Thursday night at 19h00, which will be followed by the live broadcast of the Opening Ceremony at 20h00. This time might change so tune in early just in case it does (will update here too if we hear news of a change).

During the run of the Cup SABC1's regular shows will move to SABC2 e.g. Generations moves to SABC2, in it's usual 20h00 time. Other SABC1 shows to move include Zaziwa and Tempy Pushas.

As you may have seen in the teasers, Days of our Lives and Bold and the Beautiful will also move to SABC2 on days that matches air on SABC3. Please see their respective teasers for details.

To assist you to stay in touch with what's happening over the Cup, we've uploaded two schedules:

1. A schedule for SABC1, 2 and 3 for the duration: SABC during the Cup

2. A schedule of World Cup games on SABC1: 2014 World Cup Games

These are the latest schedules we've received from the SABC. They might change with it being a tournament etc. but they give a good overall idea of what's happening. If they get updated we'll update them here and keep you in the loop.
