Well, we all know that Black Coffee and Mbali Mlotywa are now ready to tie the knot as they are now engaged. It turns out rumours that they are expecting a new baby are true but no one knows yet how many months pregnant is Mbali.

Everybody knows by now that the successful Dj also has a 15 month old baby with his then girlfriend model Chwayita Mtose. Apparently when the baby was born Black Coffee and Chwayita were no longer together.

Now this week the cheap magazine better known as Move! reports that Chwayita’s former friend Cythnia Madlala alleges that Black Coffee has not seen his baby with Chwayita since last year and hasn’t introduced the baby to his fiancée and his family in KZN. She also says to Move Black Coffee “hasn’t paid any money for his baby’s upkeep”

Cynthia says to move “The baby had been planned and Black Coffe promised to marry Chwayita after the baby was born. Everything was fine until he met Mbali. He disappeared for a while without any explanation he did not answer or return any of her (Chwayita) calls”.

This Cythnia says they were surprised to read in papers that Black Coffee had proposed to Mbali. “It was more shocking to find out that Mbali was expecting his baby while he never paid child support for Chwayita’s baby”, says Cynthia to the Move!

Chwayita on the other hand has nothing to say about the Dj and says she has moved on and raising her son, while Black Coffee is shocked at these allegations by Chwayita’s former friend, Cythinia.

Black Coffee says to Move! “Whoever told you this is not only smearing me, but my whole family too. Why would I not support or not see my own baby? Chwayita is not the only woman I have a baby with.”

Black Coffee even says he has another child a 11 year old boy and he supports both his children and Chwayita even opened an account that is linked to his bank account. He denies promising Chwayita marriage.

Now I’m wondering why a former friend would go to a magazine and say all these allegations. Did Black Coffee move on too fast that it’s not sitting well with other people maybe? And why would this former friend go to a magazine and say all these things?

By the way Black Coffee and Mblai are said to be planning their lavish wedding.

That dress ya Mbali...actually the ensemble reminds me of ...:) Lana lang, in smallville, season 5..at that costume fundraisor for rebuilding Smallville (the neighbourhood)....i never forget that scene, with Lex in his roman emperor outfit..they made a cure couple....:). Maybe Black coffee shoulda worn a roman emperor outfut naye* for whatever event this was.

I wonder what is percentage of padgeld defaults for ordinary people, so many women would tell of their stories:( . Anybody remember this headline: "WESTERN Cape MEC for social development Patricia de Lille yesterday kicked off the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children by setting up a police roadblock to bust fathers who refuse to pay maintenance."....i thought it was praiseworthy, wished it could be an ongoing thing.....

Now a former friend is telling Move all this, the baby mama says she has moved on and can't confirm the story, babydaddy refute claims...mhhhh

There was a time this couple was featured bysunday world fighting over something, the lady was preggies.

This is what I think happened; during the time of the fights,babymama poured her heart out to Cynthia. But later on she kissed and made up with ikofi elimnyama, he started taking care of the child again, while Cynthia's friendship with babymama ended, she is bitter and thought lemme rock the boat and stir up trouble.

Poshspice, it think it is some sort of a tabloid indeed. You will remember that there is a new editor at the helm now that Khosi is with Drum so this might be the new editor's vision for the mag. Le teng, there is no gossip magazine aimed at Black people. I think they should launch one lol.

I'm gonna try to be as honest as I can with you. I can handle so many things in my life but a lie, it makes me sick to my stomach and causes me a heartburn like that of Mrs Ferguson.

I have notice that week in-week out you sample unfounded allegations, defarmation of character stories from all these unreliable sources and publish them here. My questions are:

Did you try to contact the related parties?
Did you conduct any investigations to verify the rumours?
If so what was the outcome?
What are you aiming to achieve with this piece?

Some of us don't read low-class, gossipmongers Magazines and news papers for a certain reason. To make your articles more interesting please take some tips from Mail and Guardian.

Am I the only one that... when couples are pregnant nhe.. I kind of imagine them making the baby.. I just had a very disturbing picture of the black one making a loud one - Im not sure - maybe my mind is just hyperactive. kwaaaaaaaa Carino I hate to admit it but same here LOL!!

One & Only I did not contact anyone or any of the thing syou mentioned above all I did was just summarize what is written by the magazine thats all. We have been doing that here its not like its a new thing. Have you read an article here in which the Drum article about Carol Mdladla's was reviewed here. Did you ask these questions or you are just doing that to Cheesa!

And I believe Monday World is also about stories that we read on publications be it magazines or newspapers. We dont contact anyone these publications do that or dont. All we do is just share what we have read with other people and hear/read thier opinions on the stories thats all.

Bhuti if you cant stand gossip stay away from it thats all.

To make your articles more interesting please take some tips from Mail and Guardian.
But TVSA is not a newspaper of that stature and I think if you don't want to read something, don't. I am in no way getting personal but just saying my honest opinion.

I started noticing this even when Khosi was there so I wouldn't blame the new editor.
True but Khosi based this on Sunday World articles and this new editor is going out to investigate "breaking news"

True Cheesa, we even read news on other websites to get info on what we writing about. I for one am not well positioned to go out and interview these people, I only summarise what I have read as Cheesa puts it. I only conduct interviews with actors or singers every once in a while

Makisto i agree with you she even went to the eastern cape to interview Malibongwe Gcwabe who begged her not to publish everything he said to her so i beleive Move editort is doing a good job cause she goes to the person direct and all Cheesa and others do is summarise whatever is written in the magazine...

Fully agree with you Makisto! My point is that if you hear a rumour at least have a decency to investigate it further and come up with your own findings before you spread it any further causing unnecessary pain and suffering to the parties involved.

Secondly we're talking about real persons here who mostly earn their living through their art & based on what the public thinks about them. The financial loss that Black Coffee may suffer through this article is huge and cannot be calculated. Eg Chris Brown.

Lastly recycling stories is not on, just like Move, Sunday World etc tell the public about something they are not aware of not something they've known about 5 weeks ago. I like gossip if it is backed by facts.

I like, I like, keep them coming. These people are in the spot light and we are always interested in what they do. If you dont like umgosi then stay away. I dont think these people mean any harm to the subjects, its to comment and learn about really life.

Okay, what is the intention of the former friend, is she feeling sorry for the former friend or trying to drive a wedge between babymama and DJ Black Coffee. May be she was hoping ukthi after the friend was dumped the man was gonna come for her.

Even if the DJ promised marriage to the Ex, we know that pple marry and divorce, so its not like intsha lendaba. I prefer to stay unmarried than to be married an dthen get divorced. If someone says lets have a baby, i will marry you thereafter, who still believes this.

I just nearly gave OnO a cold shoulder like we always do, but I think he’s got a good point here somewhere.

Yes, it makes an interesting read to report further on what the cheap magazines have said. It would just be a little meaty if before re-writing the story, one would check out the facts and come up with the story behind the story. Perhaps even better – offer the gossippees (lol) a platform to state their side of the story.

It would just be a lot more better, thats all that im saying. Not that I have a problem with the re-written versions. It would just make a better read if the blogged version has some more info that the Move! People didn’t get to.

I think that’s the approach that Lelo uses on JC or used to use on Shuga’s Blogiwood. It just makes a better reading, thats, all – and it doesn’t come across as a further spread of the rumour.

Anyway, I think its round about now that we need to change the topic There’s just an unfriendly air blowing here somewhere - boerewors is being thrown all over the place – let’s start talking about the budget speech scheduled for tomorrow.

Have to agree with one and only on this. Btw Makisto do you always publish articles about gossip like Cheesa is doing almost week in and out just like those people who are addicted on their BB checking every second if they have an e-mail coming or not. It is not healthy you know.

In a democratic land, every right comes with an obligation and a responsibility!

If you don't have the time to verify the facts with the interested parties then you might as well not publish anything.

How would you feel if I now start a rumour about yourself and publish it here? People have lost lives because so and so started a rumour and said they are witchcrafts etc.

@Cheesa, i guess its kinda late...ive been waaaiting since monday, thought we'd be getting all the fashion week summaries for each day etc...i really wanna see what what all the designers had to offer not just David Tlale.....i just like feasting me eyes fela, i'd actually like to go for atleast one day of the fashion week next time...

@posh...just going thru the headlines that are covering the story..seems like its not breaking news or it bisnt recieving the attention that it should be coz i had to search, thought it would at the top of google africa news....
Im not sure if its good or bad...but the Egyptians it seems have paved a new way for a new way of staging a revolution. It looks similar to our ways of service delievry or salary increase protests, BUT its more effective atmost.

Mbali is brave shem, very brave. Phela some time last year Black Coffee was on Chriselda's show on Metro and when she asked him when he was settling down, he said he still believes what he said years and years ago when asked the same question, which is that DJs don't get married because they don't have time, period. He credited DJ Fresh for getting married and finding the balance between being a popular DJ all over the world and still finding time to be a husband, and said for that, he considered Fresh a hero, LOL...And, he reminds me of this other dude I know from home, every ex-girlfriend of his has a baby by him *shrugs*
