Whilst people were stuck in the cold, queuing to gain entry into the SAMAs nomination venue, some of us were sipping on assorted cocktails and drooling over SA's finest barmen.
To say the Cosmopolitan SA's Hottest Barman event was good is an understatement. It was smashing!
Seven of the 10 Hottest Barmen
Pruluv with 3 of the finalists
On entering the venue we were handed cocktails and every time we put our glasses down, another cocktail was offered. Talk about getting people drunk taking good care of your guests.
I don't know which planet I've been living on, because I didn't know barmen were so hot. Maybe, it's a good thing I didn't, otherwise I would have ended up being "bar woman" (not the proffession, more like camping at the bar)
Cocktail mania
More cocktail making
The winner of the competition, Ryan Cameron aka BieberFeva (check out the hairdo) was not only the hottest barman, but the coolest too. He is so much fun, we all partied till they shut down the music. Oh, BTW, he can dance the manyesa.

The runner up, Jonny Bezuidenhout, was another guy who is too sweet and we dragged him to the dance floor. He left a couple of minutes before the party ended.

Before I reveal too much here's what the guys had to say:
Pru: I heard that you guys are not full-time barmen, so what do you do when you are not mixing cocktails:
Ryan: I'm studying for a Bcom Law Degree at Tuks
Johnny: I'm studying for a Bcom Marketing Management Degree at UNISA
Pru: In which bar do you showcase your talent?
Ryan: Latinova in Rosebank
Johnny: LiquidChefs in CapeTown
Pru: Why did you decide to become a barman?
Ryan: Firstly I need the cash, since I'm a student. Secondly: Fringe Benefits
(laughs...)
Johnny: I enjoy mixing drinks and meeting different types of people
Pru: So, what do you love about being a barman?
Ryan: Getting paid to party and socialising
Johnny: Getting paid to party
The drummers provided the entertainment
Drumming away
Pru: Enough of the formalities... What's the naughtiest thing you've done whilst on duty?
Ryan: Let me say... It's x-rated
(ha!)
Johnny: Made chicks buy my shirt in order to see my abs
Pru: So Ryan, what are you going to do with the prize money?
Ryan: Take all my friends to Mozambique
Pru: What? Why in the world would you waste it on your friends?
(Friends chirp in) Hey, hey... we are good guys you know
Pru: Ha, whatever. So how many friends are you taking?
Ryan: 4
Pru: No man. You should pay for yourself and invite your friends, but they must pay for themselves. hehehe...
(Friends chirp in again) Hey... how can you say that?
Pru: Anyway, what will you be doing there?
Ryan: I can't tell you...
Pru: Why?
(Friends chirp in) Have you been to Mozambique? Yo.. What happens in Mozambique stays in Mozambique
(Not Vegas???)
Pru: Will you give your girlfriend some of the money?
Ryan: Maybe... if she behaves
Pru: Aren't you going to give away any of your money to charity? (Trick question)
Ryan: Maybe...
Pru: Since you are not sure about your money, can I atleast get R500?
Ryan: No
Pru: Ouch!
Ryan: Well... you don't seem to need it, isn't that bag expensive?
(Since when is a Billabong bag expensive?)
Pru: Moving right along... So, Johnny, aren't you bummed that you didn't win?
Johnny: Second place is better than nothing
(ncaaah...)
(Another barmen comes by and we start comparing abs and tatoos)Pru: With such a great body. How often do you exercise?
Johnny: I do Tae Boxing 3 times a week
Pru: What's the craziest thing a girl has done to get your attention?
Johnny: Ask for body shots. I hate that, because my body ends up sticky. Oh, girls also pay me to dance with them. I was once paid to do the Afrikaans sukie dance
Mmmh... I think that's enough of the interview.
A last look at the eye candy:
