Blame It On Fame: the intimate finale

Most of y’all who were following Blame It On Fame (BIOF) would know by now that the series aired its final episode this past Monday. The Twinz had a very intimate final episode viewing at Fire & Ice, inherent in the 5 Star Protea Hotel in Melrose Arch.

The Twinz posing for TVSA

In their very short speech before the showing, the Twinz thanked everyone who was involved in the show, from production to PR. The show’s Producer then followed with a quick speech, enlightening all of how well the show was received, especially being aired during a tough, cut-throat and busy slot against dramas like Zone 14.

Spotted Lorna Maseko from Top BIlling

The Twinz' mother and BIOF Producer, dunno where the father disappeared to

Apparently, BIOF, produced by the media house Rapid Blue hit more than a million viewers in spite of etv not being available to all South Africans (now is it really for everyone?). She further mentioned that they are looking forward to a successful 2nd season coming soon…so great news for the BIOF fanatics.
Vawter was the main sponsor of the event and we bathed, drank and talked Vawter the entire night. It was bottomless and everyone drank like fish until the pipes couldn’t accomodate anymore liquid.

Brother man and wife, hope their sex-life is now better than ever, they look very happy

During the viewing, the guests were also presented with awesome platters which seemed to never end! Not so many popular faces graced the event but the stars of BIOF were all there and I managed to take a few snaps. The rest were just crew members and some etv personnel and ofcourse us :-D!

The guy from that SABC 1 Sunday show and his fellaz - whats his name again?

Twins and Pips!

BIOF's PR guy called Eugene in dramatical pink shoes, Mellissa and one of the stars from Ekasi, he was on the phone the whole night...

After makisto’s article on the show’s first episode review here, do you think BIOF deserves to come back to our small screens? Did The Twinz do enough to get SA hungry for more? Was the show a “success” as per AR’s? Do we really need these kinds of reality shows?

"You can't buy your privacy back. Ooh, I want to be alone. 'F**k you. We've been in your living room. We were at your birth. You filmed it for us and then showed us the placenta, and now you want some privacy?!' "

Daniel Craig on Keeping Up With the Kardashians

Hope the twins will not at some point in the future tell us they want their privacy

Thank you Tazteeq, it was with a breaking heart when I learnt that it was going to be the final episode, I have never missed an episode, I absolutely loved every minute of it, scripted or not. Monday's episode was a bit emotional cos I could see how much Hlelo wants only the best for her twin. I think they set it up perfectly with a bit of a cliff-hanger, whether Hlelo was going to get the boob job or not. I am looking forward to the second season, any idea wwhen it is due to air?

great job Hlelo and Ntando. i followd the every episode. I loved it... bt the way they left things hanging, eish not good. i would've loved to c how they resolve their differences. Big ups to Hlelo she is the responsible and caring one. Ntando is Lazy spoiled and selfish....

I am vehemently against reality shows.
It will spell the end of television as we know it.

@maddie, Daniel Craig deserves a BJ from any woman of his choice for that coment. I automatically question the sanity of anyone i catch watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

As far as South African reality shows go, BIOF was entertaining. Actually I generally hate reality TV but this show was really good. A second season would be fun.

I absolutely love this show and can't wait for the next season. Hlelo really loves her sister shame, and she was telling her family that she knows her sister's worth and she deserves better.

I liked Hlelo, she's kinda hot. Ntando nah with the big lips, and from the episodes I saw she's immature.
