Idols Top 8: Chloe is axed!

After this past Sunday’s “Year-born” themed mega clash…the viewers sent Chloe packing – sad, right? Chloe Kiley hailing from Cape Town and the only Cape Townian left in the competition was eliminated last night in what seemed to be an unpredictable turn of events…

Goodbye Chloe

Monde and Dominic escaped the lion’s mouth and Chloe bit the dust. Am I the only one who was surprised by this? As far as I know, Dominic did everything in his power to give the world every reason NOT to vote for him, but he still survived the cut. I guess what they say about the horny tweens is true.

Bumped into Baby Cele giving some love to Tshidi at the show...

I actually should rant and vent about this upshot but I choose to be adult and mature. And I will not point fingers! In other news, Tshidi, Khaya, Shekinah and Simphiwe’s flags still fly high, vibrantly so! Someone said that Chloe leaving is great ‘cause it leaves Monde and Dominic in our jaws for the coming 2 weeks and the Top 5 will be jumbo!

Managed to snap Khaya sitting in a corner...

Melissa on the other hand keeps going unnoticed; I’m starting to think that we might see her in the Top 3! Although this might put me in a coma but I think the girl is warming up in the right directions. Her hunger for this is becoming louder!

Melissa - Found her sipping on some juice and she smiled and posed for us!

Maybe it’s just me but Idols is getting so interesting, it’s so hard to predict who might snatch the title. What do you think? Did you vote? Was your favourite voted out or saved?

This boy is hyper! Simphiwe....i see him in the Top 5.

The battle continues with the Top 7 this coming weekend…taking on the best international hits from 2010 to 2011 mentored by Lira. It’s going down people, buy airtimes!!!!

i think chloe went early but hey, its tight... i think she is better than one or two contestant still left there. dom and monde should have gone before her. i must say melissa did herself some good last sunday (or should i say friday)...

my top 5 after last weekend show (in no particular order):
shekinah
tshedi
khaya
simphiwe
melissa

tshedi is currently my winner. her voice is just flawless. i must say i am in love with shekinah's voice though.. its beautiful. the winner will come from these (khaya, tshedi or shekinah)

My winner is Tshidi, sorry but I am battling to feel Khaya, Shekinah is pretty and has the Anita Bakers voice, I dont mind her

YAh Chloe ddnt deserve to go really i also thought Monde or Dom should have left...I was also scared for simphiwe since he ddnt really deliver last week, so i voted non stop , This year is really interesting as there is no clear winner its a competition unlike other seasons where the winners have been very obvious

Realy sucks that she is gone. She was my fav of the girls, gooooorjas voice. The judges are waiting to save the overrated Khaya, gosh. Went to the shw yesterday, the tv definitely puts extra weight to them, they all looked 2 sizes smaller than on tv. Nyway, now that my two favs are gone (Obakeng and Chloe) ill cheer for Shekina.

Yes am surprised Chloe has gone so early. A few weeks back I really thought it would have been a Khaya-Chloe final two. Anyway Tshidi for the win please.

Tshidi should win this season. She has been consistent since the beginning and she has the x Factor. Khaya is good but I don't think he fits the pop idol title. Shekinah flops alot but the judges are soft on her coz she's a baby. She is talented but she's just not doing as well as Tshidi and Khaya. Melissa tries hey, if she keeps improving she'll surprise us. Oh how can I forget Siphiwe : he's good but he's also not doing as well as Tshidi. If he chooses the right songs he might get my vote. The rest ( monde and Dominic ) should just sit down, I don't see them winning.

@Tazz do you do ADVERTS dude... you look so much like that guy who closes a taxi door on one of these INSURANCE ADVERTS on TV!!! Just that I can't remember the name of the Insurance Company now... But it has blue colours!!! I think!!!

@Shuu, Melissa is gripping to this with all her might, if she makes one bad note she's so gone, simply because she's only started now to display her hunger!

and you clearly see a case of 'first impressions last'... even if khaya messes up, his supporters never forget how he wow'ed them in the early days of the show and he might just win this show as a result of that...

so for melissa, even if she decides to be good, voters just know she is bad

I thought Dominic was leaving last night i actually wanted him to go .. Melissa is good but there is something about her that she's not doing right that makes her not to be the favourite ..

i just love Tsidi ,Simphiwe and Khaya but i think Tsidi is taking it

@Enzer Tshidi has X factor, where or what? Besides her great voice, what sets her apart? Will she sell pop records? Okay, I didn't watch properly on Sunday and yesterday saw snippets *randy Jackson dance crew* aired the same time, so I can't comment, on Sunday I ust Simphiwe's chest about to burst out of his purple shirt!

you guys are really hurting me..#sobbing! I really like abuti monde..he is the one without the x-factor but very good! I like that he comes across as the hard worker and the one who wants it the most..Unlike bo-Khaya, who just needs to stand thr and get voted for.

Monde ka "Rossana" should be in the top spot.thats if we judging according to the best perfomance not the x wat wat u guys are refering to. Obviously at this stage of the competition ppl are voting for popularity and not talent. Tshidi this sunday fumbled, Simphiwe so so....Dominick Dominick Dominick...is he still there, m sorry but o swarisa di period pains wen ever i see him, he should just LEAVE man nxa........ Chloe had a pop voice and she deserved to be in top 5

I'll defs halla Taz. @Posh, I agree with you, idols will either produce a typical RnB, country, pop or rock singer. The previous xfactor UK winners and contestants were edgy, brought something new and fresh to the scene. And the wide age difference is best, adds to the entertainment value due to the varying characters (young old, groups), with idols the competition is monotonous. Ei. I'm crossing my fingers, althou I wonder if in SA xfactor will afford exotic 'judges houses'...twill suck if judges house are spread arround the countries, lol in different provinces.

Kwaaa Taz- I like her but I think she is over rated like Khaya, yes they are damn good but they also do have bad days and it seems the voting public and judges seem to just overlook their bad perfomances.

Simphiwe, the boy is trying and he is giving it his all! plus he is kinda cute! *hides* lol!!!!

@poshspice I say Tshidi has the x Factor because she sings well ( obviously good voice control, she delivers the high notes with passion to show that she was born for this), you can feel her presence when she is performing, she connects with the audience at monte and those watching on tv, she is articulate ( I can't hear what some of the contestants are saying e.g peeps like monde and simphiwe always swallow their words) and she hasn't flopped like many other contestants - she did her homework. Oh and on top of that she still has the best performance of the season under her belt ( that Whitney Houston song) the same title that last year's winner Dave held. She just has that extra something that you can't find in other finalists. Aren't my points valid?

I still say Khaya I mean come on the guy has never been in the botttom 3 even when he didn't do well. And he has a hell of a lot of supporters. If he doesn't take this that means Idols is rigged

@Nondu, Khaya could just go on that stage and breathe and still receive many votes! he has created such a huge fan base for himself, to those people's eyes, Khaya can do no wrong! but disagree with you, if he doesnt win it simply means he did not get higher votes...

I voted for Khaya and Melissa, they both sang for me on Sunday. My top 5 is Simphiwe, Melissa, Khaya, Tshidi & Monde. Would love the top 3 to be Simphiwe, Tshidi and Melissa but then again I know Khaya will creep in there.

Mina I’m dish-less bathong but I do watch idols on my pc. So far Tshidi is my number 1 IDOL. I love the way she controls her voice. I was once a singer but dunno what happened to my beautiful voice. Akandi raseli and akazi kwritshi. Her voice is smooth and charming. I wish she can team up with the likes of Jennifer Hudson with those high notes.

She reminds me of Karen, the former IDOL (I wonder where is she vele). Another thing I’ve noticed about her, she got “the-look & listen-to-me”, oka stage presence. Not everybody can pull that. I still think she can do more if I can choose a song for her *wink*. Ohhhhh if I can be given that chance I will give her “Knocking on heaven’s door by Randy Crawford” or “Ï am telling you I’m not going anywhere by Jennifer Hudson” or any Celine Dion’s song or the goodbye (the saddest song). I swear you’ll beg for my fake Kleenex tissue if that girl can sing one of these songs. She has a soulful voice.

Sorry to say this but isdudla ziyandichaza when it comes to music. Their voices don’t have tramps *hides*.
