Who was surprised when Dominic Neil was finally given the red card? Not me. In last night’s live and very predictable results show, we saw the 20 year-old entertainer from Johannesburg shown the door…for exit. Not that it was a bombshell for many as Dominic’s previous 3 performances left everything sour to all our tongues! But for some, his exit was a sigh of relief and a case of “about time this happened!”; can anyone who’s anti the latter-mentioned defend themselves?
For once I think the voters got it right this time, I am not Dominic’s hater but at the current level Idols is, nobody should be delievering nothing but a bucket of old juiceless ragged oranges. I was tempted to slit my wrists in frustration during his ‘Paradise’ performance. Speaking of votes, who votes for Monde? Why was Simphiwe who did so well interpreting R Kelly’ ‘Sign of a victory’ in the bottom 3 while Monde who’s performance lacked salt survived the darkest most-feared bottom trilogy?
Shekinah, Khaya (pictured above) and Tshidi’s ingredients are still working big-time for them. There is no doubt that they are going for the gold in full-force! These 3 are not here to play games.
Poor Melissa, she looked like she was about to break in half when Proverb announced who was going home. Did she miss the brief about the brutality of this competition when she entered? Melissa, you cannot melt under pressure in this race and next time choose a song people know.
Did Dom deserve the boot? *reaches for my cough mixture*
Did you vote? What do you think? Was your favourite saved?
