The first edition of the MTV Base Live Urban Smooth Sessions with Klipdrift Premium took place at The Venue in Melrose Arch last week Thursday. The dress code was "Coolest Trends" and one would swear it was on the memo, as all night long... thighs seemed to be trending.
I'm not kidding... There might be hurricanes, storms and cold weather lately but the MTV Base Urban Smooth Sessions brought summer back. Ladies didn't just show some leg, they took it a little higher and showed some thighs too. Who Run The World... Girls!
Can I say "HELLO SUMMER!!!" Maybe MTV Base should rename the event to Urban Summer Sessions. Just a thought...
Anywhoo... Back to the function. It was a great chill session with great music, but sjoe, the VIP area was packed to capacity. We even struggled to get a table or chairs. At some point, it seemed the extra-strong area was the best hang out.
Opening Up the performances was Afrotraction. A number of people were lost for a second, trying to figure out who he was. Eish, someone even said he was Donald. Pwaaaaaaaakakaka. Can I hear "Death."
The "real" Donald was one of the performers and caused havoc as ladies lost their senses and were screaming their tonsils out. Jeez my eardrums have been abused. I heard that there was a chick that was crying. Really? Are you sure the poor gal didn't have something in her eye? #JustAsking
The resurrected Lvovo also brought party people to the dance floor, ba bang-a sho. Oh, but don't you just love his song "Palesa."
MTV Base' newest presenter, Nomuzi, hosted the do and for a first timer... gal did well. #TrendingThighs
