Background

From the deep outskirts of Limpopo emanates Sello Moloto, best known as Blazey Fresh. The new Afro Tribal Hip Hop child is not so new in the music scene and he has landed to make his mark. Growing up as a teenager with the family of three gave birth to his music career. At an infant age Blazey Fresh remembers stomping and jumping to his poetic tunes which resulted into rapping. “I grew up in a family of three, the youngest boy child and Mommy’s favorite,” recalls Blazey.

Life Experiences

Due to financial constrains Blazey had to drop out of his Media Studies at Limpopo University for three years and now jungles between studies and part time retail store jobs. He released a mixed tape which propelled his dreams of becoming a local rap act further and his musical calling to grow beyond skylines.

Musical Diary

He managed to share stages with L’vovo, Jozi, Teagers, Big Nuz, Tira and Speedy amongst others. In 2009 Blazey Fresh featured on Miss Tropika and met up with Speedy who encouraged him to move to Johannesburg.

Hustle to keep the candle alight

Only one small bag and a demo, with the help of family relatives, Blazey Fresh arrived in Johannesburg with a plan to make it big. “ I was staying Emkhukhwini (Shark) for three months since my arrival and with no electricity nor hot water but I managed to write few song, which will be on my forthcoming debut” explained humble Blazey. Whilst in a shack the hustle went on until he met with Kwathole Productions manager and the rest as they say, is history.

Today Blazey Fresh’s music is on the streets, his single “Moshito” based on his life experiences is enjoying a lot of airplay and he’s set to making a change and bringing the new sounds as he’s shared the stage with big names. Another hot single to look out for is titled “Phezulu” Yet we rise”. Blazey Fresh is signed with Kwathole Productions.

His music is a collection that encouraged him to always keep his heart open to a variety of music styles currently in the circles. It's because of his belief in the power of music that Blazey delivers a musically intimate and personal message to a huge variety of listeners. This will ultimately see Blazey Fresh claiming and owning his lane in the local hip hop music scene.
