Lance Armstrong: Confessions of a DopeHead

So Oprah had an interview with Lance Armstrong. The buzz, the hype, the drama, the Nandos and the excitement that followed suit, was unimaginable. I didn’t even know so much about this Lance Armstrong until the whole stir. Needless to say, I was interested to know how he became putty in a pan of boiling oil, this whole jive had everybody sticking their guns out to shoot. ANGER I tell you!

Just a brief background education for anyone who doesn’t know who lance Armstrong is. Lance Armstrong is a former American professional road racing cyclist whose record of seven consecutive Tour de France wins (between 1999 and 2005) were rescinded because of his use and distribution of performance-enhancing drugs. He has been banned from professional cycling for life.[Wikipedia]

So Oprah put him on the frying pan for his admitted drug use, admitting on national TV that he had never used drugs and his arrogance and jerkiness at the time before his confessoins. Was it just a mistake he made which he needs to be forgiven for it? Even though he had repeated the same mistake for a sequential 7 years, cheating not only the Tour De France Franchise but the whole world? The dreams of those kids who looked up to him? Was it just another forgivable human error?

Now ALL non-fiction books that were written about him and his greatness have now ALL been moved to the “FICTION SECTION” in all book stores. How far can the world go in forgiving such? Catch some of the interview vids with Oprah here.

He is a doper with talent!!!! You've got to give him that.

He still successfully fought the battle against cancer. He has a legacy that cannot be easily written off, I say its a chance for him to write a book on a combination of his talent and successful doping.

Maybe the world needs to legalise doping and regulate it, as it is an inevitable performance enhancer. Its like the amputees and the length of their "metal legs" allow them all to compete but regulate the length in proportion to their body.

All others doped but did not succeed like he did. All professional athletes achieve what a natural person with a lot of training cannot easily achieve and there is pressure to improve their records all the time, hence they get enticed to dope to please the world. They have massive talent, but it cannot be sustained by training only. They are all dopers, just the ones that have not been stripped off their titles have not been exposed. One day, we will hear how Bruce also had back to back wins on the comrades.....

Comrades, all the top 10 are dopers, remember Mamabolo......think he upset someone from his "medical team" for him to be exposed like that in the media shortly after his win and as quickly as the story made headlines it was gone off the public eye.....wonder what negotiations and sacrifices that went behind the closed door without the public knowing.

I reallt don't care about this guy and I never knew about his winnings until the O buzz. I watches both part 1 and part2. He was arrogant and very cocky! I did not see any sense of remorse in him

Those tears were very fake Tashi. I mean, there were even moments where he would think about very obvious answers...like really *RollsEyes*

kwaak!i admired the fact that he didnt implicate other parties involved in the doping.he clearly stated that he was not going give names and Aunty Oprah wasnt impressed went as far as saying the answers went as she expected later on CNN.Really Oprah what more do you more the man to say?

They ol say the truth when they are cornered.. He had to tell the truth cz it was ol out... Why cant they come out on their own?

@Mbulela why do you say Oprah is a lousy interviewer? As for Lance, too little too late....All his 7 title wins were under the influence of drugs that enhanced his performance......
