Monday World on all things love

It’s Monday and that means time for us to dish out yet another outspoken edition of weekend gossip and strongly speak our minds on celeb gossip and sometimes, we do not spare the media.

stone_and_tshidi

...and the top story making headlines this morning is that Zenzo Ngqobe and Nokuthula Ledwaba have parted ways. Monday World readers will know the pair as Rhythm City’s Stone and Tshidi. The Sunday Sun reports that the pair ‘s break up is really taking its toll on poor Zenzo and the show’s producers have resorted to giving him a break because he was arriving late for shoots due to stress.

stone

We at Monday World are very saddened because ever since the news of their love broke out in 2008, we have secretly been hoping to get an invite to the pair’s wedding. They made a great couple and they looked so perfect together. I was really in love with the idea of them being in love.

tshidi

Yazi it is sad when you are looking for people and reasons to renew your hopes in true love and such a magnificent young couple ends things. Speaking as a freshly single myself, a break up is never easy and is bound to take a toll on oneself. Zenzo, if you up for it, you and I can start a support group. Kodwa yazi, I am wondering what made them break up. Surely it couldn’t have been that bad? Like many other broken relationships out there, maybe it wasn’t meant to be.

Nokuthula, you may probably be hurting, but my love, isn’t there a possibility that you may give him another chance. Clearly he is hurting because he loves you. You guys have been staying together for so many years kaloku.

While still on the issue of love, we at Monday World were petrified yesterday when we read in the Sunday World that Isidingo actor Meshack Mavuso has allegedly impregnated a Durban woman and subsequently asked her to terminate the pregnancy. Once his wife got involved, insults were insults and threats were threats.

The Durban woman goes by the name of Naledi Gcwabe. She and Meshack’s wife Neo, have been swearing at each other and calling each other all the names under the sun and I think while the swearing is unfolding, Meshack is busy looking, standing by the side, enjoying the match.

mavuso

Kante vele why do some women have to be fools njalo? Bandla, if he cheats on you, why call another woman a slut and a marriage wrecker? Why not take out your issues with your man? Why don’t you stop being a fool and walk outta that door to your nearest divorce court? Bathong, Neo?! And le wena, what’s the thing again? Yes, Naledi, you are not a star after all. A star knows better than to fool around with a married man. Le teng, you know he is married. Meshack and his wife were on the cover of Drum I think back in 2008 during their wedding day. Why not find your own man or walk to your nearest Adult World store to get thou some toys. Eish, the foolishness of some women never ceases to amaze me. Vusi warrix, you should know better than to impregnate a woman and calling her a whore afterwards. Why didn’t you call her a whore when you were in bed with her? Did you call her a whore when you were coming in Durban? I didn’t think so! Mxm!

dineo ranaka

Dineo Ranaka has been fired from YFM allegedly for hogging tabloid headlines. If that is true, shame on YFM for firing poor little Dinny because we at Monday World are under the impression that Dinny has explained her medical condition and asserted that she was never on drugs. And because it’s her who said so, I believe her. Le teng, you may be doing her a very big favour. Dineo is also an actress and vibey Club 808 host so this may just spell the beginning of new things for the multitalented star and we are holding our thumbs that something big comes up for her. The petite schelb has come a long way and she no longer lives under the shadow of her big sister Manaka Ranaka. Phela when Dineo first launched into entertainment, it was very hard for us as the public to think of her without thinking of Manaka. We wish you all the best Dinny!

Dineo

Hang on, the Sunday World sometimes cannot be taken seriously. They seem to be on something else those guys yazi! *hides* Akere the Sunday Sun gave a clear article that Dineo’s time at the station has ended. Not that she is fired. Sunday World, we understand you are looking for scandals and that is a good thing. But lying and saying Dineo is fired aint on because Dineo took to Twitter to set the record straight. You that bad guys! However, well done to you on the Vusi scandal, now that’s some serious tabloid journalism right there. You did good!

Idris Elba

British actor Idris Elba is set to play Nelson Mandela in the soon to be filmed Long Walk to Freedom which will be based on Madiba’s autobiography of the same name, reports the City Press. This comes less than a year since there was a very big noise about American actress Jennifer Hudson playing Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in the soon to be released film Winnie. Long Walk to Freedom casting director Monyeen Lee who is known for her sharp tongue in Class Act, says there was no South African actor who is tall enough to play Madiba.

young madiba

Other major roles will however be played by South African actors. Though Idris hasn’t signed on the doted line yet, he is busy going on and on somewhere else in the world announcing with excitement that he is set to play Madiba. The playing of Madiba by foreign actors who quite frankly cannot even pronounce Madiba’s village of Qunu is an injustice to the book written by the man himself. Local actors have always been up in arms each time overseas actors are given precedence when playing Madiba and other major political roles.

john

This is indeed an insult to our actors and Monyeen Lee should know better before she says nywe nywe nywe about local actors again! This whole story has got box office numbers written all over it and nothing to do with the right actor!!!!

Arthur

Moving right along, Aurthur Mafokate is this year celebrating 20 years in the music industry. The City Press’ 7 had a very beautiful article about him and his work over the years. Arthur told the City Press that the best thing about him celebrating 20 years in the industry is that as he does so, his son is releasing an album. What a way to celebrate indeed! Well done Arthur and here is to another 20 years of pushing it in the industry against big music labels.

tvplus mag

Those of you who enjoy watching Muvhango, please note that Makisto has written a cover story for the tvplus magazine about Thuli being in love with Njabulo Chabeli who is a married man. The issue dated 21 March – 3 April, features James, Thuli and Njabulo on the cover. In it, I dish out exclusive details that can only be found in tvplus. You can read teasers anywhere you want, but such information as the one exclusive to tvplus, can only be found when you have good professional relations with producers. In the magazine, I tell you exactly how James is going to blackmail Thuli as he finds out about the sordid affair. I also tell you what happens between Thuli and Njabulo when MH doors are closed. As I said, if you watch the show, please go buy the magazine to support Makisto. Phela the magazine has asked me very nicely to write the cover story for them kaloku!

I agree with you Makisto Ntate John Kani can play Mandela bo Eric Miyeni can play Mandela we have a lot of oupa's in Mzanzi that can play Mandela they can even go to Nigeria Africa Magic channel 114 there's lots of Madala's that wears those big curtains who can play Mandela. And people like Baby Cele can play Winnie even Kelly Khumalo if she can get a good coach she can play Zinzi Mandela. Nxm
Anyway did you go to the launch of Inkaba and how was it eish i wish they can play it at 8 not 8:30
Kante vele why do some women have to be fools njalo? Bandla, if he cheats on you, why call another woman a slut and a marriage wrecker?
Arg same old story of Primrose and Khanyi the other calling the other one a home wrecker eish man a lucky you know they cheat all the want with their small stics but no one is calling them names.

And uhm....this casting agents and producers must just be frank about the fact that they cast this tinsel towners for lead roles in SA stories for money, its all about the benjies, we know, they know...saying its a height issue is such a blatant lie, they adding salt to injury by undermining our intelligence now. Just be frank...hollywood stars will bring in the crowd, and therefore money!. And for this reason the saffers must just be extra strong. They must Break into hollywood first like Djimon hounsou , that heroes haitian guy, and few others did...only then will they be cast in lead SA story roles that are aimed at the tinsel town market. Tony Kgoroge is almost there, Hakeen Kaekazeem is just about there.... Such is life where money rules.

Argh Meshack's wife Neo is stupid, why would she go around insulting and threarening woman that sleeps with her man. she must deal with her man cos he is the one that approaches ths woman and she must run to the nearest clinic and get tested, if her man cheats aze amithise, akacabangi ukithi bangakhi kodwa aseba mitha bakhishwa... Celebville kunzima shame... so dissapointed ku Meshack yazi...

Feeling sorry for dineo but uzoba strong, Nonhle angayi ke ku twitter and start her thingie again...

I am with you GA... and if they feel that the actors do not have what they want, they could even go as far as taking Mandla Mandela to act his Grandpa... I am sure he would be delighted... the money that they will spend on Idris could be spent on training Mandla to be a good actor... they even look alike so no image-changing expenses there... tll tlll tll tll tll tll tll tll!!! As for Zenzo and Nokuthula... I am so disappointed... I loved them so much!!! Well such happens!! Thank you Maki for MW on a MONDAY!!! *winx*

Maki ... While I find it insulting for international artists to get lead roles in movies about us ... they are the draw-card, without which the production can never be financed. It is up to our actors to move out of their protected positions and venture out, take risks, get prominent roles in overseas productions to get their exposure and raise their profiles ... Too many excellent actors from Mzantsi are too comfortable being big fish in our little pond and working for local productions instead of spreading their wings and taking the beating of being nobody out there (and building from there), thus allowing their profiles to grow. It does anger me, but it is our actor's fault that they are not profiled like the Idris Elbas for roles that should be performed by the locals. ... As for the scandals ... I never cared who sleeps with whom, why, when or how the dramas & abortions played out thereafter ... they are adults, they were content with their creeping, why involve my reading time when things go pear-shaped ... they all deserve whatever is coming their way as a result of the incomplete decisions made when hormones overwhelm logic.

zenzo and nokuthula r still young 4 me 2 give up on true love bcos of their break up the only tym i'll giv up on luv thats when Ntate Caiphus Semenya le mme Letta Mbulu divorce.

Chomi ke step mom se se serious, speaking of chomi i read the move magazine intreview with Mercy Phakela complaing about how all the ANC gigs go to Chomee when she was still a bambino during the struggle and how yena no Brenda Fassie kept the country entertained during the hard times and the ANC using their gigs to relay Nelson Mandela's message to the masses. Interesting read there.

Meshack Mavuso's cheating - nothing ground breaking there we all know married men cheat & they don't condomise and as always instead of condemning Meshack we call the poor mistress a home wrecker and slut and now meshack is a victim - am telling u the playing fields r not levelled for both genders

I want ihairstyle ka Dinny on the first pic

I don't understand why they give these overseas actors first preference when you have good South African actors. There is one guy from East London who looks like Nelson Mandela when he was young....I know he is not an actor but he can be taught....poor guy has been crying for recognition since for ever and he looks and imitates Madiba like nobody else.

@Mpondo there we go frm SUNDAY WORLD

IN A text message sent by Meshack to Naledi, he says: "Those girls who are calling u are the wife's of all the man you f***ing."

Naledi responded in anger: "Your sick, your the psycho...what men??? You're so shallow. Now coz I'm standing for myself, I'm a bitch, I'm sleeping with other men? Well sorry to burst your bubble."

Neo retaliated: "Woman I have never inboxed you. You are the one that keeps sending me messages and blocking me so I can't trace you. So stop talking crap. Why wud I call you?

I don't know who the hell you are and tell ur friends to stop harassing me cos I'm happy and don't want to know. If you have or have not been *bleep!* my husband should b my business but you know what right now I don't care. Sacrificed your foetus that was ur call. May God have mercy on you. I hope this is were it ends. Stop sending me msgs and claiming that I'm sending you messages you psycho."

In an e-mail sent by Naledi to Neo on February 5, she said: "Seemingly you've been well informed n updated according to ur inboxes 2 me. I stil dnt get y u inbox me n den deactivate bt stl leave me wif ol ur details afta u curse n degrade me lyk u do. Afta dis e-mail I pray u wil liv me alone n I wil delete every lil thng frm u n act as if dis neva happened.1st of ol my pregnancy has jack *bleep!* 2 do wif u, yeah ur hubby impregnated me (on da wikend he went 4 da Ndamase wedding n Malusi Gigaba's party in Ballito), I terminated 4 my own rizons n dez more 2 it dan jst da pregnancy, trust me u dnt wanna knw. So culd u kindly liv me da heck alone now. If u want more lemme knw cz I'd b more dan hepi 2 dish up 4 u cz ur opening a can of worms I'm sure u can't handle. lyk I said dez more 2 it dan mits da eye. I neva wntd it 2 reach dis point bt uv pushed me woman, cum 2 thnk I sacrificed wif my own child cz I neva wntd u 2 knw n nw u do n dis is da pryc I hev 2 pay. Quit calling me wyl u at it plz!"

Three days later Neo sent her messages: "Girls like you make me sick, may you burn in hell for eternity. I've been with my husband 17 years and you're nothing to change that, you're a shell garage to him that's all. Bitch if you're still with my husband I swear i'm going to do something you will regret. This is a warning, I don't want to make promises. Leave my husband alone."

On February 15, Neo took to Facebook: "It has dawn on me that the only reason you are with my husband is due to his celebrity status otherwise he wouldn't be your ideal man. Acting so cheap and low because you love class. What happened to love on its own. Girls like you are sorry excuses for women."

Shame it’s such a sad time when you hear good people breaking up. I hope Zenzo & Nokuthula find peace. I personally hate to be a dumper. I rather be dumped but again it’s not nice whichever party.

He was the toughest little man I ever had the privilege of witnessing alive. He fought to get better and live for four months with only 25% of his lung capacity, and had the energy to laugh, smile, and assert himself on his likes & dislikes throughout ... Some professionals took day-offs upon learning of his passing ... His body was completely exhausted and could not continue the fight in the end. For a brief period, the hospital considered discharging him because he seemed to have sufficient strength & resilience to be released ... He would still need life support machines at home (all of which I had already ordered), then he caught an infection the Friday / Saturday and he was overwhelmed and the decline was sudden and immediate ... Yet he fought valiantly for three days and succumbed ... I treasure the memories ... He would have grown into an awesome somebody without a doubt ! He had greatness written all over him ... He is a Legend in my life !

@VusiK, it is never easy my brother for any parent to bury his child, we always hope opposite happens but for most of us it is never the case. I realy feel your pain since myself have experienced this a couple of years back miscariying two weeks before I could handle my bundle of joy in my hands and it was a very difficult pregnancy, I cried a lot but only God knew what He had planned for me. I was blessed with a beautiful angel a year after and everytime I look at her sleep I can only see his brother sleeping peacefully and innocently and cannt stop wondering how things could have been with him around.

But my dear, with time it will get better though those moments will come back once in a while. Let yourself grieve and be strong for your family.

Yabona ke VusiK bengizofunda umgosi nokuhlanya la manje sengiyakhala.I'm not crying because I feel sorry for you, but I'm touched by the courage and positive outlook you have. I'm also crying because I know that little boy is resting peacefully in the bossom of Jesus. Short as it was the time you had with him, the impact and the memories are forever. Lala ngenxeba bhuti, ungayeki ukuthandaza. I'm 40 weeks pregnant and anxiously waiting for my mbambino and I pray to God to protect him and deliver him safely. I don't know if I'd have the strength you have if anything happened. Please give his mother a hug for me and tell her that Mrs vdK is praying for her and that she must find comfort in the holy spirit and strength in the love of God.

@ VusiK....may God give you hope and strength to go on

Psalm 34:18  "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit."

God in love has promised grace for every trial,  strength for every sorrow, help for every mile, and may He in sympathy  and unfailing love impart help for each tomorrow and new courage to your heart.

Yzi Tazteeq I just read the man's story and I found it to be very interesting. Mina I would go see him plus I am planning to holiday in KZN later this year so visiting him would be very great.

I like the names of the cities in "heaven" and his story is so fascinating. If he lying, then he is very creative with names shame yazi.

Also, when I visit him, I am going to ask to hear the whole story from begining to end. I wanna see the map, it looks very interesting. Such stories always interest me...
