A new telenovela called Elena's Ghost premieres on Telemundo in early May. It takes over from The Del Monte Dynasty which ends on 30 April and will air in the same timeslot as Del Monte, at 15h30 daily, with a repeat at 19h40.
The series is a ghostmance about two Elena's and one husband.
It stars Elizabeth Gutiérrez, Segundo Cernadas and Ana Layevska and centres round Elena #1 who runs a small hotel with her father. She's never known romantic love until she finds stranger Eduardo unconscious in a forest.
She takes him back to her father's hotel where she nurses him back to health. The pair fall in love and get married ... which is when Elena's nightmare begins.
Elena moves into Eduardo's mansion and gets the cold shoulder from his family. Then she discovers that he was married before. To someone also called Elena i.e. Elena #2.
It turns out that the former Elena committed suicide on the day of her wedding to Eduardo after she was left at the altar. And she isn't gone. She lives on through her twin sister Daniela who
isn't happy about the latest marriage and turns evil on Elena#1.
Over and above dealing with Daniela, Elena also has to stay sane amidst the screams and hellish sounds she hears emanating from the mansion tower.
We'll reveal no more so as not to spoil things but keep a lookout for the teasers when the May teasers go live.
The series premieres on Telemundo on Monday, 5 May.
