2014 Big Brother Africa - 'Highly unlikely'

Some not cool news for Big Brother uhdikts ...

Because of Big Brother Mzansi happening this year, it's looking like there won't a Big Brother Africa as a result.

I've been snooping around for news about what's happening with it and word from a source very close to the franchise is that it's highly likely it'll be happening.

These were their exact words. So there is some leeway for it happening I suppose but it doesn't sound overly promising.

Which is so annoyingly ridiculous I want to smack someone!!

Various countries round the world have multiple Big Brother's per year and we should too. There's no logical explanation for why we wouldn't. DStv obviously makes a ton of cash off it and it's hardly as if they do much work for it - they literally book endless musicians for the live shows, cast the housemates and close the doors.

Not that they should be doing this but they do, so what's the problem with giving us a Big Brother Africa too?!

Even though they're saying it's so highly unlikely I've got a feeling that as we get closer to the end of the year they're suddenly going to do one. It just doesn't make sense that they wouldn't.

They should take it to Nigeria or some other country.

I here there is going to be an All Star Second Edition, towards the end of the year. From Amplified to The Chase.... I just dont know how far true it is.

Oooooh Mrs Chix - that sounds very plausible. It would make BBA different enough from Big Brother Mzansi to justify having two seasons in a year. Reckon it's definitely the way they should go.

Saw a reportjie saying Nando will be in BB 2014, checked his twitter and its on his Bio...All star perhaps? They must not do that man, I still have some decent uhdiction milleage on me. Need me some BBA for a few more years to come.

Aha! The plot sssssssickens. I reckon the rumours about an All Stars could very well be true and that "highly unlikely" actually means that it'll be back but not back with normal housemates.

I'd be amazed if they put Nando back in though ... you know safe they like to play it -  if someone's disqualified I don't see them putting them back in another season. Let's make a pact to get the dirrrrt:).

It’s not too early to start thinking about Big Brother Africa season 9 is it? It certainly isn’t. The official facebook page for Big Brother Africa dropped some hints as to what to expect this season dubbed the “All Stars 2 Edition.” It is scheduled to start on August 10th, 2014 and will feature 28 participants from 14 different countries. The countries being Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria,

If the rumours of another All Star seasons are true, who would you like to see competing? For me, it'll be: BBA Amplified: Luclay Hanni Lomwe Weza Zeus Vimbai BBA Stargame: Talia Keitta Maneta Seydou Lee Lady May, Roki and Barbz (although I doubt they'll say yes) BBA StarGame: Melvin Pokello Angelo Cleo Hakeem Natasha Bassey Beverly And then maybe some housemates from older seasons; like Edward, Quinn or Emma from BB Revolution.

No-no - it's never too early Rankotsane! That's very specific info so it must be true.

Cool list you've got going there Darren24 ... I'm gonna ponder my choices.

@Rankotsane I've been browsing for the tip-off on BBA's Facebook but can't find it - please can you post a link? Wanna see what people are saying about it.

Aha! I've found it. This is the link right here: Big Brother Africa - All Stars, Edition 2.

I'm gonna investigate more to see if I can get someone higher up the ladder to confirm it ;).
