Clearly Tropika Island of Treasure wants to play it safe because the show will be back for a new season but with a radical format change: no celebrity contestants.
The essence of the show's long-time format has has been ditched and Season 6 will feature six regular folk competing solo. The only schleb who remains is former contestant Pearl Thusi who'll be taking over the hosting.
I'm assuming the massive change must be because of the Reeva Steenkamp tragedy that shook the show to its core last season.
Either that or they've had enough of dealing with diva antics. Whatever the reason, my first thought when I heard is that Tropika and the show must want a holiday.
