M-Net Series Goodie Bag May 2013

One Tree Hill moves from Vuzu to M-Net Series for the show's ninth and final season in May. Season 8 ended on Vuzu in 2011 and now it eventually returns to wrap the series on Friday, 10 May. It starts with a single episode and then moves to double bills two weeks later.

Three other series also premiere on the channel in May. Here's our rating of each show followed by synopses and trailers so you can take a closer look:

After being betrayed and nearly killed on a mission in Tangier, private security operative Samantha Hunter manages to recover. Determined to find out who set her up and which one of her colleagues are responsible for double-crossing her, Sam returns to London to resume work for her employer, Byzantium.

Sam is given a new assignment- pose as a tutor for the grandson of a criminal multi-millionaire, Jack Turner. But as she navigates her new mission, Sam finds herself trapped in a web of suspense and paranoia while trying to discover who wants her dead.




The Hour (aired on M-Net)

In The Hour, best friends Bel Rowley and Freddie Lyon yearn for bigger and bolder news stories while working at the BBC. Fed up with constantly overlooking the major issues of the day, Bel and Freddie become hopeful when they discover that a new current affairs programme, The Hour, is being assembled, and it may just give them the break they need.

With a new team of charismatic and determined news reporters, The Hour is set to break boundaries and redefine the way news is delivered. But in their efforts to seek out bigger stories, the team find themselves at the heart of a fierce political struggle between the government and the BBC.




One Tree Hill IX

Please note: On 17 the show will air at 21h30 again and from 24 May the series will air in a double bill at 20h30 and 21h30 weekly.

One Tree Hill explores the relationship between two half-brothers, Lucas and Nathan Scott, who have a strained and competitive relationship but slowly form a bond over their teenage years. Along with the rest of their friends and family, the brothers learn that growing up is harder than they expected.

In the Season 9 premiere: Brooke and Julian begin adjusting to life with their new children, as Hayley and Nathan find themselves dealing with similar issues. But a few familiar faces from the past threaten to interrupt plans for all their futures.




Golden Boy
Premiere date:

Walter William Clark Jr. is an ambitious cop who becomes the youngest police commissioner in the history of New York City, in Golden Boy. Years later, Walter looks back on his success and finds that it’s come at a high personal and professional cost and see that there are plenty of people who want to see the most powerful man in law enforcement fail.

As Clark continues to investigate the many assignments that come his way, his younger sister moves in with him and his life is complicated by her desire to find their estranged mother. Adding to his burden is the strained relationship of his fellow detectives, Tony Arroyo and Don Owen.
