Over the past two months you may have tuned into Zone Reality and seen that it's disappeared from DStv (channel 132), replaced with a new channel titled CBS Reality.
In case you've been wondering ... it isn't an alternative channel but rather a different version of Zone Reality which has been rebranded.
The international division of the American broadcasting network CBS took over the "Zone" channels about three and a half years ago and started rebranding them. The channels were first rebranded in the UK and stayed as they were in Europe and Africa but now the rebranding's been extended to us too.
Zone Reality used to have other sister channels that we didn't see here including Zone Thriller and Zone Horror - these have all been rebranded as part of the CBS takeover.
The changeover happened in early December last year for us so you would have seen the new look and logo from then. A lot of the content remains the same but there are also added shows on the menu - because of the new relationship with CBS International.
