Dead body fiasco on Streets of Mangaung (Reloaded)

A re-run of Streets of Mangaung started on SABC2 on Wednesday night (29 November 2017) at 21h30 so I thought it would be giggleworthy to republish this article. It was first published when the show debuted in 2012...

The new police drama Streets of Mangaung premiered on SABC2 on Tuesday night and starred a dead body that was so suspiciously acted and directed it broke the law:

Streets of Mangaung 1
An actress from AFDA 101?

The unidentified victim is obviously supposed to have been washed up or she's been dragged or carried to the spot but her clothes are so clean and organised it's totally unrealistic that she's been anywhere except the wardrobe department.

From the looks of it she got dressed in new clothes just before the scene and lay down in a comfy pose. All of the angles of her body indicate that she's put herself into the position instead of some mad killer.

Most suspicious is her belt that's too loose for her and yet it's stayed in a perfectly centred position, despite everything the character's supposedly been through. There was a close-up of it later and it was shiny and new, with not a hint of a scuff on it.

Streets of Mangaung 2
Um ... oops ... her body's moved.

The show cut to another scene and then things turned ghostly because when it returned to her she'd moved. A guy came over, stole a watch off her left arm, he didn't touch her legs and yet her right leg was in a different position to the first scene.

So was she really dead? Yip. The police arrived, carried her off under a white sheet and no-one said a word about how alive she looked.

Nobody wants to be a dirty corpse ... It is why old women always tell you to wear clean underwear ... just in case you get run over by a bus ... as though the crowd uploading your brains all over the road to UTube are going to be focused on how dirty your panties are.

I can relate to the clean underwear story all too well VusiK! Last January, I was involved in a car accident wearing my leggings without my panties.

The leggings were torn, bloody and had to be taken off in hospital... The Dr, a very old man told me 3 times to never ever leave home without wearing an underwear again because I never know when I am going to be in an accident!...

I'm dying at this. She looks like she's in a Top Model shoot. Her hair looks perfect too from what I can see of it.

iyo maybe she was tired of posing and the water was too cold lol y else would she have moved her legs, and the red on her lips and around did she put too much tomato sauce on her hot dog or what coz that sure isn't blood.
