A killer night coming to M-Net Series

Friday night's are going to be the bomb on M-Net Series this month. As I mentioned here, DStv has the rights to the gripping new series The Killing. At the time it was looking like it would air on M-Net but it's since been scheduled for M-Net Series.

It was going to start in October but the date's been brought forward as a result of Rescue Me 6 ending earlier. Word from the channel is that only the first 10 episodes of the season have been delivered.

There are another nine episodes in the season which were going to air now but the distributor's divided the season up and will only be delivering these later in the year.

As a result The Killing debuts in it's place on Friday, 9 September at 21h30, with True Blood 4 starting immediately after at 22h30.

If you're a True Blood addict, you know it's always brilliant - and this season even more so.

True Blodd Season 4

A sneak peak: Sookie finds herself in the world of fairy's and it's very different to what she expected. Vampire Eric undergoes major changes and a witch arrives in town. Also, the werewolves get very involved in things and Lafayette finds out he has a "calling".

As for The Killing - please don't miss it - catch it from the very first episode and see what you think. Besides the kickbutt story, the acting's superbo too and been recoginised by this year's Emmys with nominations for both headline actresses:

Mireille Enos Solo 1

Mireille Enos, who plays the lead, Sarah Linden, has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series.

Michelle Forbes solo

Michelle Forbes, who plays Mitch - the mother of murdered Rosie Larsen - has been nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series.

For more about it, please see: TVSA's The Killing Mini-Site.
