16 Bars The Movie / Video is a R250 000 project that came out of Lolhiphop Records. The controversial hit video is for the once Underground hit Watchu Gon Do which is currently sitting on No: 2 on the YFM Hot 99 Hip Hop beating many International Hip Hop songs.

The Movie / Video is about a young, up and coming motswako artist requests that his underground distributor, who also happens to be the local Don, take a hit on his rivals in the music industry.
The Don orders his hit-man to undertake the hits, and they proceed to fish out the rivals and execute them.

Starring: Lucky Koza, Vusi Ndlovu and Masilo Magoro

I've watched this and I thought its great. The video definitely beats most videos I've seen being featured week in week out on our welfare channels. Including the Dikakapa one and the Miza Super hero and definitely the Durban ones.

Quickly about the Durbs videos: Am I the only one that thinks they are always the same - naked girls, the beach or limousine, some champagne. Always!

So the team that did this 16 Bars thing is quite talented, I must say. They can make this a whole movie and i'd support them. It's just that they need a proper publicity/marketing/communication person and I hereby apply for that job. (lol)
...Coz the way they are going about all this is a bit clumsy at the moment. They call it controversial and as a listener mna I was left wondering what makes it controversial only until I was told the story behind the story.. and I had an ooohooo.. moment. Not good.

I checked another movie / video concept of Slikhour and Kabelo and hell am not impressed.
About Durban vids ..yeah its almost like same location, same concept and same video gals over and over..

I also love the Slikour/Kabelo Dubula series of music videos/short movies, I think it's creative and different... On the Durban music vids, it's like you have to have DJ Tira in the video for your video to be considered proudly Durban lol

There's just some community thing going on there and it looks like he's the chief. He's more like Mangosuthu Buthelezi in their music business. He can groom a lot of them but yena uhlala esikhundleni there's nothing that moves him . And you better highlight him or else...

Back to the video Wow it is good ,it almost felt like I was watching a movie .
