Teaser ...School is meant to be a place of safety, a place to learn and to make friends. But for many kids, it’s a place of fear as bullies seek out their weak spots, and make their lives a living hell.
Bullies are finding new ways to taunt, humiliate and worst of all, torture. The mocking often turns violent and poisonous lies about an individual are spread via the internet or cell phones.
Technologies like Facebook and MXit are a new and dangerous way of spreading gossip or embarrassing video footage. It’s gotten so bad that victims have committed suicide after intimate details of their lives became public.
